Merchants shut out Kings

The Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants recorded a 10-0 shutout over the Kindred Kings at Fargo’s Helling Field on Wednesday night.

 
Jamestown’s Greg Lunski, Sam Hirchert and Brandon Baumgartner teamed up on the mound to hold the Kings to just three hits in the ball game. Lunski grabbed the win, pitching the first two innings and striking out four, while Hirchert pitched four scoreless innings and Baumgartner tossed a one-hit seventh inning.
 
All nine batters in Jamestown’s lineup recorded at least one hit, as the Merchants banged out 11 of them. Bryan Erstad went 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBIs, while Dan Ross went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

The Merchants improved to 13-5 with the victory and will face the Fargo Expos on Wednesday.
