Enderlin, ND – The Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants were shutout 1-0 Friday night in Enderlin at Hendrickson Field.

The Merchant bats were dominated all night long. The M’s could only muster two hits while striking out 18 times.

The lone bright spot for the Merchants was on the mound. Anthony Fontana was dominant, allowing one unearned run in eight innings of work.

Bryan Erstad and Preston Jenson collected the only two hits for the M’s.

Jeff Nold contributed in a big way by booking a party bus (from South Dakota for some reason) for transportation.  The Merchants made sure to stop at many local establishments on the long hard depressing drive back to the city lights of Fargo.  Somehow, they managed to collect themselves and persevere.  There were even a few key events that took place that night.  “Eddie Merchant” finally joined Facebook, the Kirchenwitz brothers took their Christmas card picture at the Leonard bar, and Dakotah ate a goldfish.

The Merchants travel to Jamestown Sunday for a double-header against the Greyhounds and the Elks.
