Game 17 South Boston Saints @ East Boston Knights

East Boston, MA...After almost a 6 week hiatus from East Boston Stadium the Knights returned to their home field to face off against division rival South Boston Saints. Knights pitcher Branden Eaton faced off against Chris Dupay and cruised through a complete game 3 hit win. Eaton kept the Saints bats silent all night with the exception of a Kent Graham deep fly ball that got lost in the sky and dropped in for a triple with no outs in the 4th inning. Graham eventually scored to give the Saints a 1 - 0 lead. The Knights would then explode for 8 hits and 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning batting around and taking a 6 - 1 lead they would not relinquish. They would add a run in the 5th to push the lead to 7 - 1. Ben McBride led the attack for the Knights going 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base. Kenny Polanco added 2 hits of his own along with 2 RBI. Knights win 7 - 1.

Game 18 Stoneham Sabres @ East Boston Knights

Knights extend their losing streak at Ronan Park to 2 games. Knights got off to an early 2-0 lead then Stoneham stormed with a 5 run 3rd before the Knights plate 2 on their own. It was a 1-run game till the 7th and Stoneham put one insurance run and the Knights bats fell silent as the Sabres won their last 5 meeting vs the Knights dating back to last season.

Knights win 7 - 4 in 6 innings due to lights going out.

Game 21 East Boston Knights @ South End Astros

Roxbury, MA..The Knights traveled to the South End to face off against the Astros at Jim Rice Field in the 2nd game of a home and home series. The Knights sent Branden Eaton to the bump to face off against Julio Carmona. Eaton allowed a leadoff homerun to Rommel Peguero and settled in nicely after that only allowing an unearned run in the 4th. This was a pitchers dual for most of the night as Carmona kept the Knights off balance for a solid 6 innings. The Knights then mounted another comeback against the Astros. Matty Rodriguez led the inning off against fireballer Eddy Morrobel and was hit by a pitch to start the rally. Morrobel would then walk the next 2 batters to load the bases. The Astros would make the call to the bullpen bringing in Mike Rizzo setting the stage for Jose Paulino. Paulino would then lace a double to right center field to score 2 runs to tie the game. The Knights score 2 more to take a 4-2 lead to win the game.

Game 22 Westie Nationals @ East Boston Knights

Dorchester, MA....The Knights traveled to Ronan Park to host the West Roxbury Nationals in the first meeting of these 2 franchises. Sean Hannon took the rock for the Knights facing off against Steve Palladino. The Knights plated one early on a double by Kenny Polanco that scored Ben McBride all the way from first base. The Nationals countered with 3 runs in the top of the 2nd jumping on a Knights error to take the early 3 - 1 lead. The Knights then score single runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th to take a 4 - 3 lead they would not relinquish. Sean Hannon settled in after the 2nd and tamed the Nationals bats lasting 5 innings in the desert heat. Sean Carlson pitched the 6th inning stranding a runner on 3rd base with no out by striking out the side. Cory Laliberte came on in the 7th to close the game and earning his first career save as a Knight. Kenny Polanco (3-4, 2B, 1R, RBI) stayed red hot earning his 12th RBI in his last 7 games.
