“A” and “B” Tournament Rules

All Midgets rules are in effect with the following exceptions and notations:

Each team will provide a new baseball for each game

Umpires will be paid $36 each. Each team will pay an umpire. (Each team may take collection on their side of the field)

Higher seed (1 is highest seed) is the home team for all games until championship game.

 Undefeated team is home team for championship game.

 Coin flip determines home team in “if” game

Pitchers may pitch 7 innings in the tournament (1 pitch = 1 inning)

If a pitcher throws in 2 consecutive games, (NOT DAYS) he must take a game off.

There is no pitch count.

Each team must report their pitching and score to the field director immediately after each game. If no field director is immediately available, you may text information to 717-673-8599. Whatever method you choose, it must be completed immediately following your game.

There is a 10-run rule after 4 innings.

There are no protests. Disputes will be decided at the field by the field director.

Each team will get 15 minutes on the field before the game and 15 minutes in the batting cage before each game. This will be for the A bracket that plays at Northeast Park and the B bracket that will be playing at Annville. Your teams will ONLY BE ALLOWED 15 minutes for each. If your team violates and goes over the 15 minutes that are allowed, the head coach will be suspended for that game and your team will forfeit it’s rights to warm up before the game for the remaining time your team is in the playoffs. Here are some examples:

Game time 5:45pm-
Home team gets the field from 5:00-5:15pm while the away team is in the batting cages. At 5:15pm the teams will switch. Home team is now in the batting cage from 5:15-5:30pm and the away team is on the field at that time. At 5:30pm both teams will be off the field and out of the cages. For the last 15 minutes before the game starts, talk to your kids, pay the umpires and be ready to start at 5:45pm.
At Annville there is only one batting cage. So, at the upper field that game will start at 5:45pm. The lower field will start around 6:15pm because it has lights and this way the two teams that are playing on that field you will get the field and the cages from 5:30-6:00pm. Follow the same schedule as stated up above. Each team gets 15 minutes for both.
