It was only eight carries for 71 yards, but the junior rusher was by far the most exciting aspect of the game, showing off the kind of speed and moves that scares defensive coache

HOW IT WAS WON

Landry-Walker and Carver combined for 23 penalties, making it a hard game to watch. Neither team could find an offensive flow, but with only 14 seconds remaining in the first half, the Chargin' Bucs put their only score on the board.

Junior quarterback Ja'Quan Dorsey, who replaces 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year, Keytaon Thompson, struggled at times but also showed potential. He has a strong arm and showed it off, tossing a strike to Jerry Henry for a 15-yard touchdown pass right before halftime.

Carver looked good at times, but penalties continued to plague the Rams. The one bright spot was quarterback Izea Hurst, who showed great speed and dodging-ability against an active Landry-Walker defensive front. He finished with 32 yards on three carries.

Landry-Walker receiver Devonta Jason: "We're not exactly where we need to be, but we are going to get there ... We have to execute on offense and really cut down on the penalties."
