Lions roll to their first win of season

SMITHSBURG -- Walkersville had 426 yards in total offense on its way to its first win of the year, a 51-0 rout of Smithsburg Saturday.
Quentin Ezell rushed for 176 yards on 19 carries with three touchdowns. Quarterback Jeremy Musselman completed all eight of his passes for 163 yards with three touchdowns.

Brian Schultz was the leading receiver with four catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

Walkersville raced to a 42-0 lead at halftime. Ezell scored two of his three touchdowns in a two-minute span of the first quarter. He broke scoring runs of 46 and 36 yards at the 5:53 and 3:52 marks of the opening period.

The second half was played with a running clock.

Walkersville had 426 yards in total offense, compared to 59 by Smithsburg. The Lions recovered one fumble.

Cameron Farr had eight tackles, four unassisted, and forced a fumble for Walkersville . Jacob Miller had six tackles, five unassisted. Michael Kelley recovered a fumble for the Lions.
