Hello All Renegades & Parents,

My name is Jake Bentley, the new president of the Renegades and I have a couple of announcements regarding the upcoming 2020 Season.

*CoVID-19*

First, I am very confident and optimistic about there being a 2020 football season. However, according to our league, Northeast Junior High Football League, we will be taking our queues from the high schools.  If they play, we will play. Registration is open now for those who wish to sign up. In the event that the season is canceled, you will be refunded your money.

As far as social distancing goes - it is an impossibility in the game of football.  Football is a contact sport.  Every practice, every play, every game, kids will be coming into contact with each other.  The game cannot be played from a social distance.

However, we will abide by any other guidelines we are required to. In addition, encourage all of our players to practice proper personal hygiene and consistently clean their equipment. Hand Sanitizer will be available for all parents and players to use at the concession stand. All equipment will be cleaned and sanitized prior to use during the season.  We will also have a cleaning schedule for the equipment during the season. We will do our very best to keep you, your kids, and loved ones out of harms way.

*2019 Season Banquet/Cookout*

We will be having a Banquet/Cookout for the 2019 Season at Renegades Field on July 11th from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.  I know it has been a while since the season ended, but we feel it is important to honor the kids for their efforts in the 2019 season. I sincerely apologize that we did not hold it sooner.

This will be a potluck of sorts. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish and help out.  We will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers and will have water and lemonade for refreshments.  And if you have any equipment from last season, please bring it and turn it in.  There will be a 50/50 Raffle, a Silent Auction, a corn hole tournament, and other activities. This will be a great opportunity for all parents and kids to get to know the new coaches & board members while honoring the 2019 season.

The Banquet will be held outdoors, tables will be kept the proper distance apart, and everyone will be asked to follow current social distancing guidelines. Food will be served by volunteers wearing gloves and masks. We are confident that the Governor will start to allow larger gatherings in July. But, if that is not the case then we will not be able to have a banquet for the 2019 season, which is a shame and I apologize in advance if that happens.

Stay healthy everyone.  And I hope to see you all at the banquet in July!

Regards,

Jake Bentley
