On Tuesday, 12/11/18, the Victor Blue Devils traveled to SUNY Brockport to take on the Brockport Blue Devils in a Section V Division 2 league matchup.  Victor got on the board in the first period with Senior forward Roman Czornobil cashing in his 5th goal of the season.  Sophomore defensemen Andrew Haugh and Ben Weingart assisted on Roman's first tally.  James Tilley scored a solo goal in the dying seconds of the first period to give Victor a two goal lead going into the 2nd period.  In the 2nd, Victor's skating and press produced power plays, and they were able to score on two of them.  Senior forward Lukas Miller scored with the assist coming from Senior defender Josh Albert, and Josh scored on a nice backhand unassisted on another powerplay opportunity.  With the score 4-1 going into the 3rd period, Victor kept going and got on the board again.  Roman score his second goal of the night, with the assist coming from James.  Sophomore forward Steve Armstrong got his first Varsity goal when he scored shorthanded by snapping a quick wrister past the Brockport GK on his glove side!  Victor's last powerplay goal came from Senior forward Ryan Briggs, with the assists coming from Roman and Junior forward Jack McCandless.  Peter Bartelse got the "W" in the pipes for Victor!  Victor travels to Section III's to play the Auburn Maroons on Friday, 12/14/18.  The puck drops at 6:00 PM at the Casey Park Ice Rink in Auburn, NY.  Hope to see you there!
