UPDATE: Attack looks to start up new teams for 2013/2014 Season!!!!

September 22, 2013 – 11:00 AM

If you are reading this, you must have an interest in having your daughter learn to play the great sport of lacrosse!!! We are hoping to get enough interest to form one or more teams in the following age groups:

Spring 2013 Age Grouping Reference Table

Birthdate Age Bracket
U15 Born on or after 9/1/1997 12v12 regulation field/goalie/full
or modified checking

U13 Born on or after 9/1/1999 12v12 regulation field/goalie
/checking below the shoulders only

U11 Born on or after 9/1/2001 7v7 or 12v12 on small or regulation
field/no checking

U9 Born on or after 9/1/2004 7v7 with coaches on smaller
field/goalie optional/no checking

If your daughter is interested in participating in one of our new teams and you will be able to help us locate enough players for that level, please contact me via email as soon as possible with her name, phone number, and age group so that we can assign coaches and meet our team registration deadlines.

If we have 7 players at the u9 and u11 levels, we can start a team and add as we go along. We will need at least 12-15 players to start a u13 or u15 team this year.

Please share this email and our website with anyone you think would be interested!!!

The official season begins in early December and runs through late February/early March. Games are usually on Friday evening and/or Saturday and practices will be after school and local and teams will be coordinated by Chris Conley and coached by ANHS Lady Wolverine varsity lacrosse players.

If we do not have enough players to form a full team this season, we are considering running practices and in-house, unofficial scrimmages to build the program and begin direct competition next year. If we do not have enough players at your level and you would like to play organized competition, I will be happy to refer you to other local programs that may have a team at your daughter's age group. Either way, we want your daughter to experience the BEST sport for girls out there!

Can't wait to see you out on the field!!  CALL OR EMAIL ME RIGHT AWAY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

How can I learn more about lacrosse???

September 19, 2009
How do I cradle? I have the gear, but I want to get better. How can I practice on my own? Good questions! Take a look at this video. These six skills are MANDATORY for Varsity players at Aliso Niguel HS and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any girls who would like to quickly develop as lacrosse players. Grab your stick and your ball, watch the various videos on this site, and practice the moves you see to get comfortable with your stick. Once you master these basics, practice them on the run and while playing catch with a friend or against a wall (Wall Ball). Thanks very much to Coach Christa and Bounce Entertainment for this cut from her excellent Stickies I and II videos. If you would like more information about where to buy your own set of videos with much more detailed stickwork and training ideas, please contact Coach Elkins by email.

What does a womens' game look like? Check this out!

Did you know the US Womens'Team won the World Cup Gold in Prague this year? Here's a great video of the fun and friendship you can find in womens' lacrosse!

There are numerous sites on the internet, but I've been able to compile several great links and documents to help you get a feel for how easy it is to start playing girls lacrosse. Take a look at the Aliso Niguel HS Lady Wolverines site at:

Lady Wolverines site

There are several links on the site and tons of information on gear, how to hold a stick, how to "cradle", rules of the game etc. to help get you excited about trying lacrosse this season! Here are just a few of the links to help you...
