Update to the Flag Football Schedule

The final registration day is now Saturday, February 28th.  With the snow and the low temps, the first Saturday in March will be the first and only practice.  The season will still begin on March 14th.

If you haven't registered, please tell your friends and go on to the League's site and register.  Also, you must also register on the NFL Flag site for insurance coverage and to allow us to order your uniform.

If you have any questions, let me know.

It's time for Flag Football

I hope that everyone had a Happy New Year and 2015 is treating you well so far!  The League has started signups for the Flag Football season.  They will be doing NFL Flag this year so all kids will receive NFL jerseys as a part of the season this year!

If you played last year we hope that you will join us again.  Please go on to the League's website and register online!  We are testing this out for the flag season and if it proves successful, you will be able to register for tackle football online as well!  If you don't want to do that, the League still has its traditional signups at the field.

The remaining dates are:
Jan. 24th 10 am - noon
Jan. 31st 10 am - noon
Feb. 7th 10 am - noon
Feb. 21st 10 am - noon (Final signups)

The first practice is Sat. Feb. 28th, the 2nd practice is Sat. March 7th, the first game is Sat. March 14th and the season runs until Mid May.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I hope to see you soon,

Coach D

New changes this upcoming tackle season

Just to keep you in the loop, if you begin hearing rumors about some of the moves that the League is making and if you have any questions, please let me know.  One that is true, the League has taken another step towards aligning the teams with the high schools.  Our kids that are in the Conner district will go to a Jr. Division team with other Conner kids.  The old school "draft" as you may have known it, is slightly going away.  Our kids that are in the Cooper district will go to a Jr. Division team with the Cooper kids.  With that in mind, the Union Jags (baring any major setbacks) will be joining our league and will have teams in the Jr. and Sr. Division.  For many, this will bring the best of two worlds.  Your young child will be able to play for "his school" and you still play your games right here in Florence and don't have to drive all over NKY being a part of another league.  :-)  More on that to come....

Once again, if you have any questions, please contact me.
