Playoffs will be a double elimination tournament, hopefully at the end of August, depending on rain outs.

BRISTOL COED RULES 2018

      This year we have a board made up of coaches from the league, below is the list of those members.  If there needs to be a decision made at the field and Harris is not there, anyone of these members can make a decision as long as it doesn't directly affect his/her team.  Rob Barr, Mike Goglia, Jon Cornell, Renee Bilotti, and Tina Fernandes.

1.     ROSTERS - Up to 15 males on the roster, unlimited females. Males have to make 7 games, female 5 games to play in the playoffs.  No exceptions unless changed by the commissioner. ALL ROSTERS NEED TO ME BY MAY 13TH.        

2.     Each team needs at least 4 females to play and can only use a maximum of 6 males.  If a team has 5 females, all five must play the field. (You cannot sit the fifth female and play 6 males and 4 females).

      A) LINE UPS MUST START WITH A MALE and be male – female – male order. 

      Odd number of players (9 or 11) will be the only times that you can have 2 males up back to back. 

      ONLY EXCEPTIONS ARE IF YOU HAVE MORE FEMALES THAN MALES OR 6 MALES / 4 FEMALES, but still needs to be alternated.

3.     9 am game is the only one with a 15 minute grace. NO Exceptions, game must either start (if players are on the way) or a forfeit will occur.

4.     All games will have a 65 minute time limit; NO NEW INNING WILL START AFTER 65 MINUTES. Teams need to switch between offense to defense quicker to keep the game moving.  If the defense is ready and there is no batter ready when the umpire says “Play”, the pitcher can pitch and the pitch will be a strike on the batter.  If the batter is ready and the umpire says “Play” and the defense is still walking out onto the field, the batter will be granted a “ball” call if the pitcher doesn’t pitch.

 5.   RUN RULE - 20 AFTER 3, 15 AFTER 4, 12 AFTER 5, HOME TEAM DOESN'T GET TO BAT IF VISITOR GOES UP BY THE PREVIOUS INNING'S RUN RULE.

6.     Infielders cannot start in front of the base or baseline, middle fielder has to be on the dirt, and outfielders cannot be in front of the line.

7.     BATS – League supplied bats like last year, men will be using SINGLE WALL bats this year.

8.     Guy only goes to second if he is thrown 3 straight balls. If he gets a strike then he earns a walk he only goes to first and the female has to hit.

9.  HOMERUNS - 4 home runs limit. Anything after is an out.

10.  If a team forfeits they owe both umpire fees.  If the league pays a forfeit, the forfeiting team must repay the forfeit before they play again. 2 forfeits in a row will result in the team being asked to leave the league.

11.  If there is a conflict in games, coaches must contact each other, work out situation then report to the commissioner and scheduler(Rob).  If we can change the game times around we will do our best to accommodate.

12.  In case of bad weather, the commissioner will notify the teams of the first game no later than an hour before game time and then every other team. Unless the field is totally under water we will try to play.

All normal USSSA rules apply.

YOU MUST HAVE 4 GIRLS TO PLAY A GAME!  IF THE 4TH GIRL IS ON HER WAY THEN THE GAME CAN START.  IF SHE ISN'T THERE BY THE TIME YOU BAT THROUGH THE LINEUP ONCE, THE GAME BECOMES A FORFEIT.  bLEOW ARE SAMPLE LINEUPS SINCE TEAMS ARE STILL NOT GETTING THIS.  YOU CAN NOT PLAY MORE THAN 6 GUYS EVER!
