Season Review

Centre Hall wrapped up their 4th season under coach Tony Rider and have extended their streak of 4 seasons not making the playoffs.
Aside from that there were many positives to be celebrated this year. First and most notably was the performance of Devin Alterio who had a tremendous season (despite not making a well deserved trip to the All Star game) batting .420 and leading the team in most offensive categories and offering some strong outings on the mound as well finishing with 2 wins. We also had some new faces that provided sparks Eufemio Infante, JJ Booth and Shaun Williams came to us from abroad this year and stepped in and helped out offensive and defensively this year, Shaun will be staying in the area and hopefully become a staple to the Senators in the future. We had some local guys join the team this year that will continue to develop and gave us a reason to feel good about the direction the team is headed, Tyler Lalli and Zach Spangler showed many times they can provide us with offensive charges and play well defensively in the middle infield.
We became victims of a few injuries that left us scrambling but had many of our veterans that were willing to pick up some of the burden. Centre Hall has been fortunate to maintain the services of Mike Brubaker, Rich Auman, Terry Lingle, Steven Alterio and Mark Brooks who all performed admirably for us again this year.
Moving forward we are looking to continue bringing new addittions to the team and relying on some of our veteran players as well. We have reason to believe that next year we may be able to put it together and have a run in to playoffs.

Centre Hall Senators would like to thank everyone who has supported us this past year and always enjoy seeing those in attendance at the games!

See you in 2012
