About Our Team

The Chiefs Fastpitch 14U ('04) Black team, part of the Chiefs Fastpitch Organization (see links tab for more information), is a highly competitive travel team that plays in tournaments and leagues sanctioned by USSSA, Pony, ASA, NSA or NJBL, during the course of the spring, summer and fall. During the winter the team goes through a strength and conditioning program, and continues to work on hitting and fielding skills.

The team is based out of Ronkonkoma and has its own complex, that is well-known on the Island. The facility has several, newly renovated softball fields, bathrooms, parking, concession stand and indoor training facility.

The team is coached by Ed LeBrun, with the assistance of Larry and Greg.  The coaches have created a very stable environment for the team over past several years.

Coach Ed has coached travel ball, in-house ball and Little League for over 10 years.  He has also been playing Men's Softball for over 25 years, and has had a tremendous amount of success playing in highly competitive leagues and tournaments as both player and coach, having played with and against professional ball players.  His enthusiasm for the game is evident in the way he continues to play and teach the game.

The team utilizes professional trainers and college-level coaches, as well as the most current technology and metrics in the game.  The staff is very dedicated to getting girls ready for high school and college ball, while encouraging academics, team bonding and sportsmanship.

Chiefs players helped out in the Town of Brookhaven's Softball with those with Special Needs Program on September 14, 2018 by helping the participants play the game of softball.
