Season Weekly Practice Schedule
VARSITY & JUNIOR VARSITY
Starting January 7, 2019
Tues/Thurs (not on game days): @1:10
(Practices will be 2 hours each unless for some reason stated otherwise )
Fri: Off Day, but may occasionally be used for conditioning/team bonding.
(Will inform the team at least a week before if used for either)
This will be the practice schedule during the week throughout the second semester. These times do not apply if we have games on any of those days. Fridays will not be set in stone, depending on if I think the program would benefit from having the day off, conditioning, or for team bonding events. This will never be last minute and will always be communicated at least a week in advance.

HEAD VARSITY COACH LINDSEY CASSIDY
Coach Cassidy started playing softball at the age of 6 for LNGS and started pitching a year later. She transitioned to travel ball at the age of 11 and played for several teams including California Cruisers and San Diego Power Surge gold. Pitched varsity 3/4 years at Dana Hills HS. Lindsey then went on to pitch at San Francisco State University and studied cinema during that time. Coach Lindsey spent this last summer getting the opportunity to coach and play in Sweden!!!
ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH DANNI INGRAHAM
Coach Danni Ingraham
began her softball career playing for LNGS at the age of seven and quickly transitioned to playing travel ball for the Corona Angles a couple years later. Coach Danni was a varsity starter at Dana Hills High School for four years. From there, Coach Danni continued her education and career at the University of Virginia where she was the starting first-baseman for four years. During that time at UVa, Coach Danni majored in biology, broke the record for the highest fielding percentage in a career, and hold top five in many offensive categories.
HEAD JUNIOR VARSITY COACH JOHNNY PERRYMAN
Coach Johnny Perryman has coached various youth sports for over 27 years, and has also coached travel baseball and since 2013 has coached girls fastpitch softball with PYLGSA (Yorba Linda), Mission Viejo Girls Softball and coached with travel organizations such as the Firecrackers, Dynasty, Socal Athletics and Ruthless Softball. Coach Perryman in his first season at Capistrano Valley, began his coaching career in Darmstadt, Germany in 1991 with the US Army Little League Baseball Europe where he coached outfielders and catchers. Coach Perryman has also managed and coached in various youth and adult
sports programs in Germany, Korea, Brea, Placentia, Yorba Linda and Mission Viejo. Coach Perryman was a 3 sport athlete playing soccer, football and baseball in high school where he graduated in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Coach Perryman continued playing/coaching baseball and football while serving in the US Army.
JUNIOR VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH CAELAN SMITH
Coach Smith started the game when she was 9 years old at Rancho Trabuco Girls Softball. She started playing travel softball at age 14 and played for the 18U So Cal Athletics team that placed 5th in the nation in 2008 during PGF nationals. Coach Smith played for Trabuco Hills HS where she lettered, was first team all league and was chosen to play in the All Stars Game. The collegiate career for Coach Smith started at Saddleback College where she played outfield and third base and batted 3rd or 4th in almost every game. Shortly after her sophomore year she was recruited to play softball at Cal State San Bernardino where she received a full athletic scholarship for both her junior and senior year. Both years she finished with the highest on base percentage on the team, playing 3rd and each position in the outfield. She was also the head coach for one travel ball season for a 14u team which came in first place at USSSA National.
Coach Smith’s future plan is to graduate from Cal State San Bernardino with a bachelors in Liberal Studies to become a teacher and eventually coach varsity softball.

CHAMPs is a LNGS division open to girls of all ages with special needs who are CHAllanged Mentally and/or Physically and want to learn how to play softball
