Thanksgiving Eve Mass and Pasta Dinner at Holy Family
Following a tradition that was started 4 years ago, the final Pasta Dinner of the season will be held on Wednesday, November 21st at Holy Family Church. There will be a Mass at 5pm for everyone regardless of their religious affiliation. Players, coaches, and families are all welcome to attend the Mass. The Pasta Dinner will immediately follow the Mass downstairs. At this final dinner, the players and coaches will be served dinner by the Senior Dads. To ensure that dinner is hot when Mass ends, the main course will be delivered from Mama Mia's. Please be sure you have signed up through the Sign-up Genius to contribute to the other courses (bread, beverages, desserts, and salads).
Please note: While friends and families are invited to attend the Mass, the dinner downstairs is only for the players and coaches.
Veteran's Day Commemorations for Lt. Tim Steele
There is a concert Saturday night at the PAC to raise funds for the 1st Lt. Timoty Steele Memorial Scholarship. See the Clipper for details.
Also, the Duxbury American Legion Post 223 is having a dedication of their beautuful new war memorial in memory if Tim. Ceremony starts at 11am on 11/11. All are welcome to attend this moving tribute.
The Pasta Dinner and Gridiron meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, October 24th have been postponed until next week. Assuming the room is available, both events are now scheduled for next TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30th (same times). We apologize for the short notice.

The Dragons took on the Rams of Marshfield today and came away with a victory of 33-6. So much to be thankful for.
It was a very special day at practice today for the Dragons. Liberty Steele and her mom Meghan stopped by practice to say hello to her biggest fans. Liberty was presented with a little "Princess" step stool, a teddy bear and doll, and a few DHS Football programs. What an inspiration for the boys. Strength, Honor, Liberty!

Your Duxbury Dragons hit the ground running this morning with practice, followed by an afternoon of raking leaves. The boys began their day of community service at the home of the Smith's and then headed over to the Steele family home and made short work out of a big lawn. This is family, this is Duxbury.
Thanks to all the parents for the Pasta Dinners this season. This is from the last pasta dinner before our League Title game v. Hingham. ...must have been some good sauce!

A decisive 34 - 7 Veteran's Day victory over the Harbormen of Hingham last night gave Duxbury it's fourth straight Patriot League Keenan Division title. A moving tribute to Lt. Steele opened the evening with a color guard and bagpipes' stirring rendition of Amazing Grace. The Dragons played from the opening kick with STRENGTH and HONOR for Liberty.

The Boys of Fall opened their season last Friday night under the lights against the Trojans of Bridgewater-Raynham. The Dragons beat B-R 26-0. It was a very special evening that began with a moment of silence for 1st Lt. Tim Steele followed by the presentation of colors in remembrance of September 11th.
