The coaches and I would like to thank all the kids and the parents for a great season.  We had a lot of new faces from last year, 10 of our 16 players were new to the team this year.  Our goal has always been to work on improving every kid from the beginning of the season to the end no matter how they start and we saw a lot of improvement from everyone.  We had fun and played some great games (and a few not so great).  We hope to continue with some summer and fall practice sessions, to help the kids continue to work on fundamentals and work with them on getting better at the positions they would like to play.  I will text everyone with practice times and schedules after we have them.

Now, I'd like to recognize the kids for their achievements this year!

We played 21 games, 12 in Affton and 9 in Little League.  We officially finished 13-6-3 (one of the wins was a forfeit).

The three Affton All-Stars were Jared Tanner, Greg Rose and Chance Jenkins.  The two alternates are Matthew Bartosch and Logan Melton.

Team Leaders:

GAMES Played: Only two kids played in all 21 games, Greg and Chance.  Matthew and Kienen only missed one game.  Kenneth played in all 12 Affton games and Matthew, Kienen, Alex, Zack and Devin played in all 9 Little League games.

Welcome to 2016.

This year we will by playing our games in the AFFTON Athletic Association's House league.  There are 12 teams in this league, so we should have ample competition.

Also, we have agreed to play for the Twin City Little League out of Festus as their only Senior/Junior team.  We will be playing other Senior Little League teams from Grandview, Hillsboro and DeSoto.  This should include about 12 games.

Both the Affton & Little League schedules have been updated.

Good luck to all the boys and let's have a great season!
