Sarah Joseph named 3rd team all-state

The NCP softball program is proud to announce that senior Sarah Joseph has been named 3rd team all-state by the Illinois softball coaches association.
 
This is Sarah's first all-state selection to go along with four years of being selected to the CPS all-city team. As a hitter, Sarah posted a .439 batting average this season, led her team in RBI's with 29, had a .495 on base percentage and only struck out 4 times in 25 games. 
 
Sarah was the ace of the NCP staff with a 9-4 record and 3.22 ERA. Her strikeout to walk ratio was one of the best in the city as Sarah struck-out 90 and only walked 16. 
 
For her career, Sarah led Northside in pitching wins all four years and she will leave NCP as its most decorated softball player ever. 

 


Joseph, Schoeff Receive All-City Honors

The NCP softball program is proud to announce that senior Sarah Joseph and freshman Madeline Schoeff have been named to the 2016 CPS All-City Softball Team.
 
For Sarah Joseph, this is the fourth straight year that she has been selected to the all-city team. As a hitter, Sarah posted a .439 batting average, led her team in RBI's with 29, had a .495 on base percentage and only struck out 4 times in 25 games. 
 
Sarah was the Ace of the NCP staff with a 9-4 record and 3.22 ERA. Her strikeout to walk ratio was one of the best in the city as Sarah struck-out 90 and only walked 16.
 
Madeline Schoeff put up some pretty impressive numbers in her freshman season. She hit .488 to go along with three home runs (all in one game) and drove in 23 runs in 25 games. Maddy had an unbelievable .527 on base percentage and led Northside in fielding percentage (.991).
 
Northside begins IHSA state tournament play on Wednesday, May 25 against St. Viator High School.
