The Omaha Tigers team began in 2007 after formally being the Omaha Angels. Since 2007, the Tigers have played for the League Championship twice and have continued to be a top contender. In 2014, the Omaha Tigers won their second Nebraska State Baseball Championship (first one was in 2011), and were State Runner-Ups in 2012.
Currently, the Omaha Tigers belong to the OABL and play within the National Division. The players within the league have a variety of competitive experience varying from Minor League, Colligate (JUCO, Division I & II), and High School. All players work full time and play competitively on Sunday's within Omaha, Nebraska & Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The League's President is Jordan Hoff, League VP is Lee Wilson and League Commissioner is Jay Collins
Each baseball season runs from April through August, with a league tournament, District tournament and State Tournament. The majority of games are played on Sundays and no games are scheduled on major holidays or Mother's Day.
Tournaments begin in late July and the District Tournaments include teams all over Nebraska competing to qualify for the State Tournament. Other national tournaments are played in Florida &Arizona on Major League spring training fields.
