We are DEDICATED to helping you to take your game to new heights by encouraging you, working you hard and communicating with you to allow you to reach your desired heights. BT Basketball has a history of working with some of the best players that Northwest NJ has to offer and we are excited to continue on that path.

Join the hundreds upon hundreds of players that have come through our program and follow in their footsteps to become impactful high school varsity players as well as play at the college level if that is your goal!

Are YOU looking for what WE offer? Find out here…

Q. What is the tryout fee?

A. ZERO!!!

Q. How many tournaments do the teams enter.

A. Anywhere from 4-6 based on the age level (from youngest to oldest).

Q. Where are the tournaments?

A. Depending on where you live, most are within 45 minutes

Q. What is the cost?

A. TBD, but we are always more affordable than other area programs and offer GREATER VALUE PER DOLLAR

Q. Do you have parent coaches?

A. Absolutely not! We have coaches that all played college basketball and are coaching at various high levels today. Our coaches bring years of experience on the court and the sideline and are dedicated to helping your child improve by providing a positive and encouraging environment!

Q. How many practices per week?

A. We practice twice a week. One practice is a full practice geared around preparing team for upcoming games as well as skill work. The other practice is a specially designed skill session to vault your young player to the next level. We HIGHLY believe that we would be doing your child a disservice by only focusing on upcoming games. Skill work and game knowledge are a HIGH priority for us to maximize the highest level of improvement!

Q. What is your goal as a program?

A. Simple. Improvement! It is our philosophy that it is useless to win games in AAU if the players are NOT getting better. Everything we do is wrapped around making sure each player has the best experience and leaves a BETTER player in every aspect of the game. We will do EVERYTHING we can to win basketball games, but NOT at the expense of our goals of improvement. If you are looking for a program that will just roll the balls out against inferior competition, we are not that program. If you are looking for a program that will teach, instruct, play against better competition AND have fun, then we are for you.

Q. When do you start and finish?

A. We start mid March and typically wrap up at the end of May

Q. What happens if we have questions as parents or players during the course of the season?

A. We HIGHLY encourage communication with our players, parents and coaches. We are a big believer that honest and open communication ensures lack of confusion. As a coaching staff, we have a plan of attack and we are more than welcome to share it to make sure that everyone is on the same page and maximizing their efforts.

Q. What type of coaching style does the staff implement?

A. The BT Basketball staff prides itself on POSITIVE and UPLIFTING encouragement. There will be no screaming for the sake of screaming here. As former players, we all understand the value of respecting each individual. We also understand that each player reacts differently to varied approaches. It is our goal to find the proper one for every player. Above all else, we STRONGLY believe that communication and positivity are the greatest tools in our shed and we use them liberally! There is a time and a place for raised voices, but it’s most certainly not every play. Our goal is to maximize each player’s potential and we are on a mission to learn how to do that with each individual that joins our program!

Q. Do you have fun?

A. What’s basketball without fun??? OF COURSE WE HAVE FUN!

Q. What’s your tryout fee?

A. ZERO (just making sure you heard us the first time).

Q. Do you have cool uniforms?

A. Sure do, but we also believe that who is inside the jersey is way more important than the brand of jersey

Q. Should I register?

Q. When?

A. NOW!!!!!
