Message from Dennis:

A word about Lottery Tickets.  Every team must sell League Lottery tickets which help pay for the fields and umpires.  The tickets are $5.00 each and are good for the entire month of July.  The winner each day is based upon the evening 3 digit PA Lottery number.  Most years we have 130 tickets to sell.  Each player will receive 8 tickets ($40.00) which you can buy yourself or sell.  This is not an option.  You must buy/sell at least $40.00 worth of tickets to play on this team.  I get stuck with what's left (usually 30-50), and in addition, pay the League entry fee and buy the shirts.  My total cost is about $1,500.00...yours is $40.00.  If you are unable to meet this commitment, please do not ask to be part of this team.   From the date I distribute the tickets you will have 4 weeks to return the money.  If you fail to do that, you will not play until you do.  There will be no exceptions.

HISTORY OF THE LITIGATORS: Before becoming the Litigators, this team was known as KTA (Ken Tator Associates) and began play in 1979. Dennis Uram, one of the five original organizers, is the only member of that 1st team still on the roster and has been with the team for 39 consecutive years. Dennis took over as sponsor of the team in 1992 and changed the name to the Litigators. In 2010, for reasons which he cannot now understand, Dennis changed the name to HUNG JURY. This turned out to be a total disaster as the team started out strong but finished the season -0- for June, July and August. In 2011, Dennis returned to his senses and the team reclaimed its signature name of "Litigators".   Since its founding, it is estimated that over 750 different players have been a part of the team.
