Welcome to the American Legion Sports Complex

Welcome to the American Legion Sports Complex Page. This page will be updated on a daily basis once the season begins. The page will hold schedules and info for each league, New important detail, and most important it will be updated as soon as the games are cancelled due to rain and much more. The complex holds 3 different leagues Mon-Thursday every week. The goal of the program is to provide a learning environment for the kids and a great summer of Baseball for the whole family. It's supposed to be FUN first, and competitive second. This year we have three great guys who is dedicated to making sure this is is a successful program.

The American Legion Post 5 Sports complex is a non profit organization. It began in 1991 with one field, Basinger Field, that was built to be the home field to the American legion Junior and Senior traveling teams. Since then we have added on 3 more fields designed for little league baseball and softball.

The complex is what it is today by many people volunteering their time. Don Roark, has volunteered his time since the complex first began in 1991. Him and his family spend numerous of hours at the complex making sure everything is kept up and running smoothly. Together, these few people make this league successful. There is no way to thank these individuals enough for the amount of work and dedication that they have provided to this program. Please take a moment to thank them when you can.

A concession is open for the convenience of those attending the games. We ask that no food or drink be brought into the complex. The concession stand profits are used to enhance the Sports Complex and over the years have provided some of the funds needed for building the complex into what it is today. Thank you for patronizing the concession stand during the year.
Let's have a great year! PLAY BALL!
