2015-2016 MSCHCA COMPETITION

On February 14th, 2016 the Rockwood Summit Hockey Cheerleaders competed in the Annual Mid States Hockey Cheerleaders Competition. The team was in the Green Division as they had advanced from last year's scores.

They performed amazing routines again his year and really left everything out on the floor! During the Chant division the girls performed a clean routine and had the crowd yelling along with them. The Cheer division was next and the girls had a much more difficult routine than last years but he girls did not let that show. The routine was amazing and hey hit everything perfectly. The dance division is an optional competition. The girls were ready to go as they took the floor. Their smiles and energy were on point as they executed their routine flawlessly. Again this year they performed a very difficult kick line in their performance. They ended the dance with separate poses as they were placed close together to display that they are individuals creating a very unique team again and started off using a small clip of the last song of last year's routine to symbolize that they are starting off where they left last year.

During the awards ceremony the Rockwood Summit Hockey Cheereladers were announced as the following trophy winners:

CHANT DIVISION
2ND PLACE

CHEER DIVISION

2014-2015 MSCHCA COMPETITION

On February 8th, 2015 the Rockwood Summit Hockey Cheerleaders competed in the Annual Mid States Hockey Cheerleaders Competition. The team was in the Red Division.

They performed amazing routines and gave their best to the judges. During the Chant division the girls really had the crowd going and hit their routine with great precision and a lot of spirit! The Cheer division was next and the girls led the crowd in an exciting and spirited cheer. They had a lot of crowd interaction again. The routine was a solid performance. The difficulty of the routine was over shadowed by their ability to make it look easy. After the lunch break they re-grouped and got ready to perform their dance routine. The dance division is an optional competition. The girls walked onto the floor with confidence and poise. Their music started and they came out strong. The crowd responded with cheers. The entire routine was full of smiles, energy, rhythm, attitude and excitement. It was performed with great precision and timing including a very difficult kick line about halfway into the 2:00 minute performance. They ended the dance with separate poses as they were placed close together to display that they are individuals creating a very unique team. All 3 performances were performed at their best. Then the waiting began as the award ceremony began.

Mid-States Hockey Cheerleading has never had a first year team place 1st in both cheer and chant divisions or place in all 3 divisions. The 2014-2015 Rockwood Summit Hockey Cheerleaders will forever hold a place in MSCHCA's history. Previous Rockwood Summit Hockey Cheer teams have never had such a successful outcome either. This team definitely had a special event take place. All of those nights cheering on the Falcons to victory and intense practices made this possible.

The team also received the "Best Smiles" award that was voted on by the other squads that were competing. It was a very nice surprise to have their peers choose them for that superlative award!

Special thanks to the Cheer Moms and Cheer Grandmas that were in the stands helping cheer on the girls! Your presence definitely helped the girls get out there and do their best. Your support will never go unnoticed.

Also, thank you to Heather and Kelly for all of your assistance with video taping, picture taking, setting up, cleaning up and all the other extra requests Coach Mandy had.

Most importantly, Congratulations to Kailey, Ashley and Rachel for this outstanding accomplishment!

Way to go out there and make sure the first season was an unforgettable one! Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication, pride, energy, positivity and spirit. Your commitment level is second to none. Cheers to you for all that you've done and all that you are!

Speaking for all the families, fans and RSHC supporters:

They may not be strong in numbers this season but when it comes to performance, technique and ability, they are beyond amazing. Great things sure do come in small packages. I'm still overwhelmed with pride for all that they accomplished. I can't wait to see how well they do throughout the season!
