Welcome to the SKS CYO Soccer Program…!

SKS soccer is a fun, co-ed sport. It is a second team (or secondary sport) for many of the players. The team has football and field hockey players looking for some Saturday afternoon action as well as some travel soccer players looking for additional games with their school friends. There will be a diversity of the players’ playing skills and experience.

Whether soccer is your child's primary or secondary sport, we welcome players of all playing levels. Unlike many other sports, attendance at practices and games is not mandatory.

Because it is a co-ed team and a little more relaxed it is a wonderful way for the classes to bond outside of school.  7th & 8th graders will play on Varsity. The 5th & 6th graders will play on JV.  There may be the need for two (2) JV teams.  As such, the CYO program will be looking for additional parent coaching support.

Practices for St. Katharine of Siena soccer commence in mid-September.  Last year, the practice schedule was once or twice per week (on Mondays and/or Wednesdays) from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Practices will take place at either North Wayne Field on North Wayne Avenue by the Wayne train station OR Odorisio Field in Wayne.

Games for JV and Varsity are Saturday and/or Sunday afternoons starting in mid-September and running through the end of October. Home games are played at Odorisio in Wayne.

Uniforms consist of team soccer shirts (included with your registration fee). Shorts and socks should be navy or black and will need to be purchased by each player.  Shin guards and cleats are required.

The head of SKS soccer program is TBD.  Mark & Jeanne Mulvanerty will be running the JV program.  If anyone is interested in assisting the Varsity or JV program this season, please contact the coaches or the CYO Athletic Board.
