Game 2 was a 17-5 win against the South Bay Dukes which was another 2 hour and 30 minute game in the middle of a 110 degree heat and high humidity.

Team Easton 12U "Stack Em"

The 12u Team had a great January tournament after taking a month off for Christmas break. We played our first tournament of the new year with Just Wanna Play Ball Tounaments. There were 8 teams in our age group with teams coming from all over southern California for this great tournament. TE started off the weekend with a good win against the Corona Heat. In the top of the first inning of the next game TE fell behind by 3 runs in the top of the first. No worries, TE answered back with a quick 5 runs and never looked back. TE finished as the number 1 seed going into Sunday's bracket play. In the first game against the Downey Diamond Backs TE won in a comeback fashion. TE fell behind in the top of the last inning by one run. With runners on second and third Logan Berg had his "moment", Logan had a nice hard hit up the middle, Devin put his wheels on and scored from second on a bang bang play at the plate, after all the dust settled Devin was safe for the game winning run. The championship game was just as exciting. With TE leading 3-0, the Hit Squad hit a grand slam homer to take the lead 4-3. TE bounced back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game back up. In the top of the last inning Hit Squad scored one run on a blooper single.

14U Softball Winter Classic !

Congrats !! to the 14U Softball for a great performance this weekend !!

Team Easton 12u had a good day of softball at the 2010 Coachella Winter Classic. The girls played with a lot of heart and put it all together earning them a birth in the championship game. Although they were defeated by a talented Wolfpack-Gold team from Arcadia, they played a great game. Congratulations girls.

Team Easton 12U "Rack Em"

This was a nail biter of a weekend. After the conclusion of pool play the top 3 teams each had a record of 2 and 1. The deciding factor came down run-differential. TE had a +6, Chaos had a +5, and Mizuno had a +4, this resulted in TE and Chaos playing in the Championship game with TE coming out on top after some great playing by both teams.

The energy level was electric in the final game which resulted in some great pitching and some great sticks. Keep up the hard work.

Team Easton 12U has officially been accepted to the Cooperstown Tournament for july 2011 !!! We look forward to a year's worth of work and dedication as we prepare for this event.

Team Easton 12U Brings Home USSSA Championship !!

Team Easton 12u -Silva, took home the bacon in the first tournament of the 2011 season during the USSSA August Heat Tournament. During the tournament TE racked up 45 runs while only allowing our opponents 15.

Game one of the bracket play was one for the ages, Cruz led the way with 2 homeruns. Steve Urrea pitched an exceptional game, only allowing 1 run after 3 complete innings of play and went into the top of the 4th with a comfortable 8-1 lead. However, the Benders were able to get back in the game with some key hits and a few "seeing eye" singles which ended up with the Benders taking a one run lead going into the bottom of the last inning. Cruz led off the inning with a scorching homerun down the left field line to tie up the game at 10 a piece. Next, Stevie came through in the clutch with a single up the middle. Next came the "moment", the ones we as players and coaches live for, that opportunity to hit a game winning hit. Well Alex McKeehan got that moment and did not waste it, with Stevie on first, Alex hit a shot to the right center gap for a triple which scored Stevie and won the game.

Game two posted Team Easton against the Alta Loma Storm in the championship game. Now who would have thought you could have 2 "moments" in one weekend. With Team Easton up by a score of 8-2 Tyler Turner got a chance to have his "moment". All we needed were two runs to win this game by run-rule mercy. With runners on second and third Tyler hit a single to the 8/9 gap for a game winning hit.

16U Brings Home The Bacon On Their 1st Tournament!!

Congrats to the newly formed Team Easton 16U who captured a championship on their very first outing as a team.

Game one started off with a run-rule victory over the Huntington Beach Sharks on the arm of Ryan Silva who threw his first no-hitter. Game two was another run-rule victory over the So. Cal. Stars, Cruz pitched the entire game and our defense was flawless not to mention the sticks were on fire. Game three proved to be a little bit more difficult with a loss to the high powered Landsharks. Stay Hot!!!

Team Easton 11U - Hardcore One Day Tournament

The entire team was focused this weekend while playing a triple header on Saturday. We had a victory against Team Soto in the first game, a tie against the So. Cal Trojans in the second game, and a loss against the Trojans in the championship game.

Team Easton 11U v. Monrovia Elite

After being beaten up by the powerhouse Team Anderson, Team Easton bounced back with 2 quality wins against the Monrovia Elite!! (FYI, game number 25 and 26 this winter, keep up the focus, stay hot!)

Team Easton 11U vs. Irvine Storm

Good job this weekend! We started off the weekend with a great game against the well coached Redlands Rampage (4-3). This was a good warm up for Sunday's game against the Irvine Storm. The Storm had some great sticks and pitching but after two long games TE finished on top with a 15-5 win and a 9-5 win.

10U Takes 3rd at USSSA Summer Slam

Team Easton 10u had an outstanding weekend with 3 wins and one loss resulting in a 3rd place finish in a 10 team tournament. Our first game against the Alhambra Stars ended with a 13-3 victor for TE. The second game of the day was against a powerful Blue Wave Team out of Orange County. Things looked dim for TE after the Wave took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first, but we bounced back in the bottom for a 5-4 lead. After switching leads several more times during the game, TE blew open the score and ended up winning by a score of 15-7. The 3rd game began Sunday morning against the Chino Hills Rays. Again, things looked bleak for TE going into the bottom of the 6th down by 3 runs. TE then battled back with 2 outs to win with a walk off base hit by Diego. We ran out of gas and pitchers when we lost to the Manhattan Beach Heaters in the semifinals. Way to go boys!

10U Takes 2nd at Hardcore BB Firecracker Tournament

Congrats to the 10U Team Easton Boys who played with a ton of grit this weekend! The end result was a 2nd place finish after being beat by the Chino Hills Coyotes in the Championship Game.
