If a team cancel a game they will have 10 goals against them for canceling, then the other team wins by 10 goals. Thats only if a team cancel.

Regular season finish up Feb. 2/2023, NO GAMES ON SUPERBOWL SUNDAY FEB. 11/23. Sunday Feb. 5/2023; Play-offs single round robin everyone plays each other once, then after round robin first place gets a bye to the semi finals, and then 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5.  (then semi finals first place vs lowest pionts in round robin, then the other two teams play).        Chediac Furniture Nova Hockey League ""Rules""   2021/22

      Remember guys that this is a Gentlemen's Hockey League.

If a player takes a penalty in the last 5 min. of the game and if the penalty is more then 2 min. you are suspended next game.

Age to play in the League is 19 years old, before Dec. 31, of that year the season starts.

Here are a couple of rule's for this year. Fighting: If a player(s) drops their glove(s) and continues an altercation, an automatic game ejection shall be assessed. Any player(s) that is assessed a fighting major will be subject to a year suspension from the date to the next years date.

Any intentional contact from a player with their stick will result in a four-minute infraction being issued.

Crease Violation: Any instance of a player intentionally entering the opposing team’s crease will result in a goaltender interference infraction being issued

Referee's are not going to take any abuse from you, the player.

 

Player's just take your penalty don't say any thing or you be gone.!

             

Game Misconduct; 1 st - 2 game suspension

                                2 nd - reviewed by the league.

Gross Misconduct; 1 st -5 games suspension

                                2 nd - 1 year suspension ex; Dec.10/10 you don't come back to Dec.10/11.

Match Penalties; will be assessed an immediate 20 games suspension.

                                2 nd - out of the hockey league for good,(NO APPEAL).

Playoff / League Update: March 15th, 2021

Due to an unfortunate incident in the league, Vern has decided to step aside and has asked me (Brian Affleck) to take over the league. Vern has spent the last 40 years running this league and dedicated countless hours to our community. He has given us all a place to play hockey in a very competitive league and we are all very appreciative of that. I have a great amount of respect for Vern and that is why I am willing to step up and take over. 

In honour of the 40th season I have decided to finish the season off with playoffs this week. I made the decision to give the top two teams a bye and play in the semi finals on Saturday. The 7th and 8th place teams did not qualify for playoffs. 3rd place will play 6th, and 4th will play 5th. That leaves us with the following schedule for this week:

 ***Players no Mask stay home, have to have a mask on to get in the rinks, Guys no spiting in the rooms, or in the hall ways, come on no more warnings, if it keeps up I will had to kick the team out of the league, we are not kids, you are adults.

Not even 2 weeks in to the season and we had a fight and a match penalty, again guys this is a gentlemen's hockey league, I'll be asking the referee's to call everything, so keep the sticks down and play hockey. 

It's a short season with 26 games !!! BE SAFE

I have the 2021/22 season up, regular season finish up Feb.3/22, and then Play-offs single round robin, after that first place gets a by to the semi finals, and then 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5.  (then semi finals first place vs lowest pionts in round robin, then the other to teams play). After all that the two winning teams will play a best 2 out of 3, for the Champion.    GOOD LUCK TEAMS !

       Chediac Furniture Nova Hockey League ""Rules""   2021/22

      Remember guys that this is a Gentlemen's Hockey League.

If a player takes a penalty in the last 5 min. of the game and if the penalty is more then 2 min. you are suspended next game.

Age to play in the League is 19 years old, before Dec. 31, of that year the season starts.

Here are a couple of rule's for this year. Fighting: If a player(s) drops their glove(s) and continues an altercation, an automatic game ejection shall be assessed. Any player(s) that is assessed a fighting major will be subject to a year suspension from the date to the next years date.

Any intentional contact from a player with their stick will result in a four-minute infraction being issued.

Crease Violation: Any instance of a player intentionally entering the opposing team’s crease will result in a goaltender interference infraction being issued

Referee's are not going to take any abuse from you, the player.

 

Player's just take your penalty don't say any thing or you be gone.!

             

Game Misconduct; 1 st - 2 game suspension

                                2 nd - reviewed by the league.

Gross Misconduct; 1 st -5 games suspension

                                2 nd - 1 year suspension ex; Dec.10/10 you don't come back to Dec.10/11.

Match Penalties; will be assessed an immediate 20 games suspension.

                                2 nd - out of the hockey league for good,(NO APPEAL).

Playoff / League Update: March 15th, 2021

Due to an unfortunate incident in the league, Vern has decided to step aside and has asked me (Brian Affleck) to take over the league. Vern has spent the last 40 years running this league and dedicated countless hours to our community. He has given us all a place to play hockey in a very competitive league and we are all very appreciative of that. I have a great amount of respect for Vern and that is why I am willing to step up and take over. 

In honour of the 40th season I have decided to finish the season off with playoffs this week. I made the decision to give the top two teams a bye and play in the semi finals on Saturday. The 7th and 8th place teams did not qualify for playoffs. 3rd place will play 6th, and 4th will play 5th. That leaves us with the following schedule for this week:

Time change For all the games at Trenton Rink, till Dec. 20/20 (Sunday's Only) , look on the schedule. 

 

 ***Players no Mask stay home, have to have a mask on to get in the rinks, Guys no spiting in the rooms, or in the hall ways, come on no more warnings, if it keeps up I will had to kick the team out of the league, we are not kids, you are adults.

Not even 2 weeks in to the season and we had a fight and a match penalty, again guys this is a gentlemen's hockey league, I'll be asking the referee's to call everything, so keep the sticks down and play hockey. 

It's a short season with 26 games !!! BE SAFE
