250th CAREER VICTORY FOR KRUMENACKER

With the 35-7 victory over Herricks, Farmingdale Head Coach Buddy Krumencker notched his 250th career win. He has the 15th most victories in New York State history and has the fifth most victories among currently active head coaches. In Nassau County, Krumenacker has the third most career victories and he ranks fourth when Nassau and Suffolk are combined. Beginning his 25th season as the Farmingdale coach, Krumenacker has a record of 173 wins, 64 losses, and six ties, including a remarkable 61-15 record this decade. 

DALERS DEFEAT HERRICKS IN SEASON OPENER

Led by running backs Kevin Wilson and Anthony Armstrong, Farmingdale opened its 2017 campaign with a road victory over Herricks High School, 35-7. The duo combined for 166 yards and three touchdowns while quarterback Kevin McCormick completed 7 of 12 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Antonio Smikle Jr. caught four of those passes while linebackers Aaron Almodovar, Sean Sullivan, and Vinny Delia combined to make 27 tackles.

It was the first meeting between the schools since 1973 and Farmingdale leads the all-time series with six wins in eight games played. The Dalers have won fifty of their last fifty-eight games dating to the start of the 2012 season, with a regular season record of 39-2!
