Jorge is a native of Las Terrenas Sanchez, Dominican Republic; and, he brings 23 years of professional baseball experience to the Lobos Baseball coaching staff. In 1987 he was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers, as a second baseman. As a Dodger farm-hand, Jorge quickly assented through the ranks and played 6 years in the Dodger organization, with three of those seasons in AA, San Antonio. In 1994 he played with the AA Portland Seadogs, the AA affiliate of the Florida Marlins. He played the next 17 years in the Independent and Mexican Leagues reaching the AAA level, in both.

Jorge managed the El Paso Diablos of the AA Independent League in 2011. Before joining the Lobos coaching staff in 2014, he has been giving private lessons and coaching youth baseball in the San Antonio area.

Jorge has a son Jorge Jr.(Lobos-2020 alum), who currently is playing college baseball at Western Texas College.
