Ray Cloutier

14u Head Coach - Hitting Instructor

Coach Cloutier has a history of success as both a player and a coach. He was a standout player at Dracut High School and local American Legion baseball, and later played collegiate baseball at Plymouth State College. After his collegiate career he played semi-pro baseball in the Eastern Massachusetts Bay State League.

He served as a collegiate scout from 1994-1995 before beginning his coaching career at Haverhill High School as the Assistant Varsity Coach and the Head Coach of the Junior Varsity program. During his time at Haverhill High School, in addition to his responsibilities with the junior varsity squad, he designed and executed the hitting curriculum for the entire baseball program. He was part of a coaching staff that led Haverhill High School into post-season play 3 out of 3 seasons.

Coach Cloutier was appointed Head Coach at Lowell Catholic High School in 1999. His Lowell Catholic team qualified for post-season play 4 times in 5 seasons, posted the best record in school history and captured 3 Catholic Suburban League Championship titles under his leadership. In 2000 he was recognized for outstanding coaching by the Lowell Sun All Stars as Coach of the Year.

Coach Cloutier's previous AAU teams at Team New England Baseball Club (2004-2006) were among the best in New England in their age group. His teams have competed at Cooperstown and the AAU National Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Sarasota, Florida. He is a member in good standing of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association (MBCA).

In 2010, Coach Cloutier had an amazing 6 former players named to the Lowell Sun All Stars Baseball Team with 1 more as an Eagle Tribune All Star.

Coach Cloutier will be the head coach of the 2010-11 New England Nor'Easters 14U team as well as the hitting instructor for the entire Nor'Easters program.
