West Allegheny Varsity, Jr Varsity, and Jr High slow pitch teams play in the fall in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Sports League (WPISL) against other school districts (mostly quad A level) for slow pitch softball from early September until the end of October. Players make the teams via tryouts in early August and most attend the school district they are playing for.
