2021 ECR XC: Banquet Awards and Videos
Good Sportsmanship:
This award says it all. This athlete plays by the rules. They make an effort to treat their teammates with respect. They cheer on their other teammates even after they’re tired from their own races.

State Participant:
Going to State is a tremendous award. It is not an easy task to qualify for state. These boys had a setback with having one year cut by COVID’s social distancing mandate which led to inactivity and in some cases having to start from basic training. I can understand that the progress can be slow and frustrating (it makes you want to quit) but being patient and trusting the process was the key to their success. These boys knew they had a chance, took a risk, made themselves vulnerable which is something that is hard to teach; it's the risks you take in life that help you progress. It can be scary, but these boys accepted the challenge and thrived!

The Most Valuable Runner (MVR) award goes to the runner on the team that made the biggest impact on the program. The Most Valuable Runner takes all practices, workouts, and races very seriously, and leads the team in every way possible.

Fall Cross Country 2020
1) Sign up using your school email account at https://tinyurl.com/ECRXC2020
2) Please fill out an emergency card at https://ecrchs.net/pdf/Emergency%20Contact%20Form.pdf
3) You will also need to get a physical done before official practice starts, but given the current status of our nation I have no idea how plausible it will be to get physicals done. Either way you can find that form at https://ecrchs.net/pdf/Emergency%20Contact%20Form.pdf
4) There will also be another athletic form and a transportation waiver that will need to be completed online via FamilyID. That information will be distributed as soon as it is given to us.
● We have no idea what the next six months will look like or when we will be able to start to have official practices, but I do want you all to be prepared when that time comes. Please bear with us as we wait for updates as well. In general ECR seems to be following whatever LAUSD decides to do. So as of right now facilities are closed through the summer. Hopefully things start to turn around and we are allowed to have practice.
