As many of you may already be aware, this issue has recently been the subject of much debate within the medical community. The US Soccer Federation in conjunction with US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer as well as a number of other organizations has announced a comprehensive player safety campaign specifically focused improving concussion awareness and education among youth coaches, referees, parents and players and minimizing the numbers and types of head collisions during both practices as well as games for youth players.
Mid New Jersey Orthopedics will discuss many aspects of head injuries including;
Understanding the Short and Long Term effects of head injuries
Recognizing the mechanics of collisions leading to head injury as well as the potential signs and symptoms of head injuries
Understanding current approaches to Concussion Management protocols
Please come join us on December 9th for this important educational opportunity - again this event is open to all Readington Travel Soccer Club Parents/Guardians as well as parents from other Readington Recreation sponsored sports.
