Ok its time, the regular season is over and now its time to separate the boys form the Men. No excuses, Win or Go Home.

I wont have a GAME of THE WEEK BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL IMPORTANT SO I WILL BREAK THEM DOWN EQUALLY.

First up:

BEARS/ASSASSINS -

Last weeks game is meaningless and whatever happened should be erased from the memory bank. This game will be a battle of wills between the teams most IMPORTANT position, QB. Troy and Ish both had themselves very good seasons. Troy we expected to be good again and Ish was the biggest surprise of the CFFL this year. Both will have to stay composed and limit the turnovers, not to mention not get caught up in all the nonsense that the Playoffs bring. I expect to see a heavy dose of Padilla in this one which will help to control the clock. As talented as the Assassins DL is, they're giving up a lot of size to the Bears OL. Manson is someone to keep an eye on also if he gets overlooked, it will be a massive mistake on the Bears part. I know I’m going to make some ppl mad here but the Secondaries of both teams have not been the strongest part of their teams this season. Marlon has pretty much disappeared the second half of the season (maybe thats because teams Finally stopped throwing at him?) But THIS IS WHAT I THINK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MATCHUP OF THE GAME. Whichever teams secondary shows up and can hold the passing game of the other team in check WINS THIS GAME.

KEY MATCHUPS:
TROY VS. ISH
ASSASSINS DB VS. BEARS DB
BEARS OL VS. ASSASSINS DL
HALL VS. THORNTON

ASSASSINS 20 - BEARS 18

BULLDOGS/HITSQUAD -

League’s best Defense vs. (in my opinion) the League's best Offense. Then you have the League's Most bipolar Offense vs the League's most bipolar Defense. Who knows what Bulldogs Defense or HitSquad Offense is going to show up? We do know that the HitSquad Defense which is lead by Huff and Rodgers will be at the top of their game come Sunday. They will have to, to keep up with an offense that boasts the leagues best passer (def strongest arm) in Cervizzi and the best core of wide receivers the league has to offer. Of course that group is lead by Tyrece. Stopping this offense just doesn’t stop with holding down Tyrece if you forget about Harris, Bartunek and company, your secondary will have a rough day. BUT this game will come down to Gore/Robles and their ability to be effective on Offense. If they can move the ball and stay away from Turnovers and Sacks this should be their game to win. Reading the board we all should know that the Bulldogs will be without Maurice Lloyd Sunday (Suspension) so that will hinder the DL for the Bulldogs. I believe that the HitSquad OL will need to keep Mike Bartunek out of Gore/Robles face. If the HitSquad can give some time to whomever is back at QB they will get this victory. The Bulldogs are their own worst enemy, they never have the same guys, always have ppl missing and don’t take it serious enough to win a Championship. I believe the mentality they have is a “we can turn it on when we need to” type of personality and it has burned them and they don’t ever learn from it. The arrogant feeling the Bulldogs give off is starting to irritate ppl around this league. I have heard that sentiment said numerous times this season among players, fans, refs etc. They are late to games, complain about calls, have players break rules you would think they were the Young Gunz? WELL BULLDOGS YOUR NOT. If you could get yourselves to focus on just football and have the entire team take it seriously just once you would actually reach the extreme potential you have. BUT…….Im not thinking it’s going to be this week. After Sunday I expect to hear the same old excuses from them.

KEY MATCHUPS:
BULLDOGS OL VS HITSQUAD DL
HITSQUAD DB’S VS BULLDOGS WR’S
GORE/ROBLES VS BULLDOGS DEFENSE

****UPSET****
HITSQUAD 12 – BULLDOGS 7

STEELERS/VIKINGS –

I think im like most ppl and don’t know what to think about this one. I mean in regards to the Vikings. This team has talent all over the field and a QB that is much more versatile than Dolch was but for some reason they have gone backwards? Aubrey started the year with so much hype that maybe it was too much to live up to? What I do know is this offense started out the year putting up some numbers and then all of a sudden it changed and the offense struggle to just move the ball. Im not sure what happened but they need to go back to what was working in the beginning of the season. Although that still might not help as the Defense of the Steelers is the most physical in the league and will impose their will on you. But they have been prone to give up big plays in the Secondary this season. Aubrey will need to use his legs to get outside of the pocket and look down field for the big play opportunities to Fisher. This will give them the best opportunity to get the W Sunday. The DL from the Vikings is one of the best ones out there but they will need help from the DB’s and LB’s to make sure they can keep (try as best as possible) Rocket in check. If Rocket is allowed to get outside and make and make the Rocket type big plays it’s a wrap for the Vikings. Rocket is a good thrower of the Football but would rather run. Make him move quickly and not be able to buy time for the secondary to break down and give up the deep ball. Yes which is a lot easier to say than actually do. Shields can not give the big play he has been prone to this year.

KEY MATCHUPS:
ROCKET VS VIKINGS DEFENSE
VIKINGS DL VS. STEELERS OL
AUBREY VS. STEELERS DL

STEELERS 18 – VIKINGS 13
