| Would the real "Chosen 1" please stand up? Who is "Chosen 1"? Is he the person that posted a some less than flattering comments a few years ago about various topics? Is he the person that was posting just lately and not really contributing much to the board? Is he a savior? Is he an Angel? Is he like Satan? Is he all of those rolled into one? I have read probably all of his posts and the responses to his posts, and lately it just seems as though he has simply run out of steam. It also appears as though he never really wanted to post on here and talk hockey with Mr Reider, and argue about hockey and his team, the Montreal Canadiens. He talked hockey some, but that never appeared to be his true motivation for posting. Probably every conversation about hockey in which he had participated was started by somebody other than him. If you read his posts over the past three-plus years, you will notice that every time he left and returned, he lacked a little bit more every time he came back. He seemed to lack that spark. He would show signs of the old "Chosen 1" at times, but not consistently. For that reason, I feel that we may someday see him back on this message board when and if he regains that certain something that drew him here in the first place. However, he says that person no longer exists, and he would know more about that than you or I. Why am I mentioning all of this? Why am I posting this message? It's simply because he was the most interesting person(by far) to ever post on this board. There has never been anybody to manage to generate so much emotion as he was able to do. There have been some who, in his words, "wanted to tie me to the hood of a race car". Others, however, have thought so much of him, so much so that they would like to buy him a ticket to travel to Newfoundland to attend the races, or to simply "talk to such an interesting person". Will he ever return? Perhaps, but more than likely not. My opinion on this may not be popular with some, but I don't feel as though he should return, simply because he will probably never be what he was at one time. What I'm trying to say is that "Chosen 1" was one of those once-in-a-lifetime events that should only occur, sadly, once in a lifetime. It just so happens that he occurred way too many times that he became just another person on the message board. Maybe someday someone will come along and have an impact on the board, but I can safely say it won't be near the impact that "Chosen 1" had. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

| I agree with almost everything you say Professer. What I don't agree with was when you said C1 had become just another person on the message board. Let's get this straight, C1 was never and I mean never, just another person on the board. He was what people said, controversial and enigmatic. A true rebel if there ever was one who played by his rules and nobody else's. If anything it looked as though not long before he left we were seeing glimpses of the old C1. You know the one, the one that said whatever he felt and didn't care how many feathers he ruffled along the way, not the one that's been on here for most of the time for the last year or so. The one that jumped in the middle of the crazy bitch conversation and almost made us pass out from laughing at his posts. The one that made shrimp a household word on here. The one that made people want to choke him, but couldn't because they'd be laughing so damn hard. The one that jumped in the middle of any conversation and said whatever was on his mind. The one that could find humor in any post. That's the C1 we need back on here. I know I'm not alone in my thinking.

| he said he dont post no more becuase his posts are getting borring.i dont agree,besides even a half hearted c1 post is better then anything else.
