Not sure if my number are accurate not sure if Josh plays D-Line or LB if LB he's off my choices but these names to me are the 1s that's in the running 2 games left in the season if Chief Mike and Carlito end the season with the same number of sacks it could be leading towards Chief seeing how he as 27 flags I believe and I jus want to point out that Mike and Felix are not DEs their DTs and in this league those numbers are impressive for that position. Dbs are CLOSE in ints but Jerry and Dejourn are leading in Ints and like I said 2 games left... Henry has 48 flags... WOW!!!!!! with 3 games left for the Oilers I see this kid gettig 60-65 for the season..

In regards to the DT's/DE's
sacks matter but consider the overall defensive perfoirmance and not just sacks.
The DB's ball and it is a toss up... may the best man win....

And as far as Sosa goes I'm glad you said something chief I didn't kno exactly what position he was playing but if it's LB he's in that running to I apologize for anything I was wrong on Mike if you thnk you have 12 sacks you should talk to Cash because it says you have 12 flags and 10 sacks.

list the candidates solely by stats.. NO NAME
ex: 120 flags 36 sacks 15 ints
117 flags 51 sacks 6 ints
144 flags 17 sacks 6 ints
83/123 67.5% 1513yds 29tds 1 int
126/204 61.8 1756yds 27tds 10 ints
pick the winner or at least the top 3 then maybe mention the name.
it simplifies everything and takes away from favorites. thats isi if its solely based off numbers.
personally i think position, games played and various other factors play a huge role.

| It should be obvious who the top 3 are in each position even if u don't put names it's not about favorites it's about whos doing their job numbers don't lie you basically saying if chief or mike had 4 sacks they would still make the list right????? WRONG!!!!! They made the list because of their numbers. Henry is a rookie didn't put many of years in as Izzy or D.Perry but guess what.... HIS NUMBERS DON'T LIE... This favortism thing your trying to pull can't work in a situation like this because this isn't a question about who you think is the top 10 it's about the players in the running for D.P.O.Y... If it was about favortism I would have put Juan Cruz and Showtime on the LB list but their number are not where the other LB numbers are or Gotay in the DB list his flag grabs are of the chart as a DB but his INTs numbers and TDs are not where the others are.... Really that favortism arguement can be canceled I apologized for people I might have missed but I'm not going to agree with the favortism claim look at the numbers and then make your arguement and look at ALL of the numbers for each position.... for DBs Jerry and Shields are going at it shields might get the lead on Jerry seeing how Franchise has a bye and Oilers have a game this week if shields get nothing or at least enough to tie with Jerry it's going to be a showdown when Oilers meet Franchise as far as the D-Linemen Chief has 1 game left to either catch up or pass Mike and Carlito in sacks Mike has to have a hell of a game in his next 2 to take the lead but Carlito has the uppers hand as he is in the lead and has 3 games left it should be interesting to see how hard these players play to make them numbers and be awarded D.P.O.Y with that being said that award could go to these players after narrowing it down in my opinion

its tough to say who the better DB is.
theres the corner that makes plays on the ball and often gets a few picks. theres the corner that just doesnt get the ball thrown to his side because he covers so well.
again braggin bout my team but this is just an example

dude doesnt have very many flags, very few picks and a few PBU's BUTTTT, hes a lockdown corner He rarely gets the ball thrown to his side because he covers so well.
ask a few guys they can tell you T is a lockdown corner. of course the corner that makes plays and has stats appears better but if you can have the corner that people dont rarely test wouldnt you choose to only have to worry about one half of the field???
just sayin its a tough call with DB's (while tryin to give love to YG's lol)

In 2005 he had 50 Tackles, 8 Interceptions, a defensive TD and widely became known as the best cornerback in football and was paid crazy money because of that.
In 3 years since hes averaged 36 Tackles, and 1 INT per season. Is he a bad cornerback now? No. Teams gameplan around him and rarely throw the ball his way aka hes lockdown. Thats how you can really tell if your a good CB, by a team not throwing your way which means your stats won't be as good.

| I'm not making the arguement if he's a Top CB or not because I know he is I'm just addressing the fact that it seems like some people are saying in order to be in the running for D.P.O.Y for DBs it don't matter what the numbers are if you don't lockdown Pito or Shields you shouldn't be considerate a option. In this topic I'm not concerned who should be placed in the top CBs or any other position I'm more concerned about people trying not to include Shields or Jerry because of who they didn't matchup against or people saying Henry shouldn't make the list even with the number of flags he have... Season in almost over BUT NOT OVER still time left for ALL players to make something happen except for Chief this week you have to go your HARDEST bur overall your numbers is good.... Just remember people... Numbers don't lie ( unless the stat guys mess up)

To win that award its an all around deffensive difference that the player needs to make on the field. Not just winning 1 of the stat battles. D.P.O.Y, not the just best Flag grabber.
I\'ll close wit this. In baseball you dont win the Triple Crown by just leading the league in Home Runs. Here\'s another one. You dont win the CY Young by just leading the league in Strikeouts !

| Im going to agree with one of the above comments, the season is a ten game season and all stats should be considered for playing in ten games for all team owners that vote on the award. My league awards should go to the most outstanding statistical players. No players in the running for the MVPs should be less worthy of an award because other players could not make, or were injured for some of there games. No offense chief.The HFFL is a 10 game regular season commitment. When i select the final canidates for all awards, it will be based on the assumption that they played all ten games. Just thought id add my input.

Cant get more impressive than those #\'s bra. Also your the one that allowed Meneses #\'s from his 11th game to be counted for his stats for the year. So what are you agreeing with. Another contridiction. Nobody said anything about missing games due to injury, being hurt. The award should be given to the players with the best statistic\'s right. (I.E. robinson from michigan, was clear leader in the Heisman Race bad game against MSU no the leader anymore) its still open in the MVP and O.P.O.Y races between the cats that have been talked about PIG, roberts, guy from the bulldogs (sorry bra dont know your name) Bandana kid, sanchez.
D.P.O.Y. Right Now CHIEF that many flags and sacks and an int to boot. all round defense. Nothing against oilers guy because you having a hell of a year yourself.

| its pretty evident that chief has already stated in his post flagrantly who he wants to win including himself lol. he doesnt need to hide and would never hide..also to clearify myself...i believe that having excellent stats in fewer games is a good point....a valid point for that canidate....what im trying to say is that...you cant discredit players for playing the 10 games hes allowed to play. it makes no sense to use that as the players downfall...if you play 10 games it should help your case not hurt your case. getting to the games is part of the equation, along with accurate rosters and jerseys lol
so again i say dont hold a player at fault because he played in all the games and others played in less games thats all.
so lets base all stats off of 10 games please thanks

Go down the line on the criteria on how you vote for the awards. Some where towards the end your going to see games played. 8 games played vs. 11 games played. Put those up on your home page as a league vote. Top 5, stats wit no names. Trust me then your going to say WTF those #\'s are F**king ridiculous.
Oh Sanchez\'s #\'s are off the chart\'s. Ever since Ish got him fired up he\'s been taking it out on ANY & Every DB in the league tourching the secondary. Same wit The real poster boy of The HFFL Chris Roberts. What happened to your poster boy Spence Cash. You gave him the award being the 2nd best in the league last year & he\'s not even playing in your league, lol nah just playin. Dont do it again, you do know he\'s going to break he\'s own #\'s from last year right. You also have a couple guys from the Bulldogs in the conversation too.
