In one of the most entertaining games of the year, The Assassins beat the Wolverines 19-18 in a barn burner. Wolverines go up by 6 with a bout 2 minutes remaining in the game. Assassins Walter Gunner runs the ball for what would look like the game guranteed game winning TD. But Wolverines Antonio Ortiz who had 153 yards rushing on the day brought his team all the way down to the 2 yard line with 15 seconds left and would eventually just run out of time. Assassins were lead by Frankie Camacho who had 4 catches for 83 yards and a TD. In the 1st of two tough games the Young Gunz take on the Steelers and win 14-7. Steelers hold Chris Roberts to just 136 yards passing but couldn't get the job done against the leagues #2 ranked team. In a well anticipated match-up Franchise gets a good old fashion but whoopin from the Young Gunz 34-6. Roberts torches the Franchise secondary for 4 TDS and 266 yards. A blowout of the Franchise makes it look like there's only a 2 team race for the chip (GUNZ-BULLDOGS) !Franchise may have beat the Steelers and Vikings but does that have any value anymore looking at their records? Gunz hold Star QB Deveane Meade to 3/14 (21%) for 17 yards and 2 INT. Ruben Sosa of the Young Gunz (whos shockingly been in the top 10 in flag grabs all year lol) believes that Team Franchise is “Team Pig” and that you see what real MVPS do against top teams. Its gonna be interesting how the awards play out this year after this dismantling. Hartford Gatorz only allow the Warriors to score 1 offensive TD and still manage to lose 27-7. Gatorz blow a 7-6 half time lead by allowing 2 ints returned for TDS and a punt return for Td to blow the game. Adam Baez lead the way for the Warriors with 9 flags and 2 sacks. Tyler Chamberlain also had 2 INTS and a TD. Bull Dogs blowout the Outlawz 30-0 lead by “The Utility” Steve Bartunek who went 10/18 213 yards and 3TDS. Bull Dogs let the Eagles score late to tie, the game, but go down the field easily with under 2 minutes to play to put the game away 28-21. Steve Bartunek catches 3 TD passes to lead the Dogs. The Vikings get shut out again, by the Hartford Oilers 13-0. This 2nd shutout of the season is weird for the Vikings who are known to be a scoring machine. Now it looks like there defense holds it down and there offense smells like old cheese! Henry Meneses lead the way for the Oilers with 7 flags and a sack.
