| So a team that is 12-20 will receive more credit (depending on calibur of wins) than a team that is 10-0?
That doesn't really make much sense...

| IF TEAM A IS 12-20.... AND YOUR 12 WINS ARE AGAINST ALL THE "TOP TEAMS"...TEAM B IS 10-0 AGAINST ALL THE SCRUBS IN THE LEAGUE...
I THINK IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO GIVE THE 12-20 TEAM MORE CREDIT...JUST LIKE THE NCAA...WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
BIG TIME CONFERENCES GET MORE CREDIT THAN SMALL TIME CONFERENCES...IN ANY SPORT
ALAH BOISE STATE, U7CONN, VIRGINIA COMMON WEATLH.... WHAT SPORTS DYOU WATCH...TABLE TENNIS?
PLS TEAM A ALSO PUT THEMSELVES ON THE LINE WAY MORE TIMES...
YOUR THEORY IS AN EXAGERATED ONE... AND MOST LIKELY NOT POSSIBLE DUE TO THE FACT WHEN ONE TEAM WINS ANOTHE TEAM LOSES.. IN MY FORMUAL THE RANKINGS EVOLVE. AS TEAMS FADE YOUR POINTS BECOME LOWER, AS TEAMS RISE PONTS BECOME HIGHER

| I never said the 12-20 teams beat all the top teams...if a team is 12-20 obviously they didn't beat all the top teams....
You don't see teams like BYU going 12-0 against Uconn/UNC/ DUKE/ Ohio State etc....and then losing 20 games to teams like New Mexico, Depaul, Yale etc...
If you are 12-20 its because you can't beat the good teams..if you are 10-0 you beat everyone who you played...so although 10-0 compared to 12-20 might not be a huge difference in ranking points its a huge difference in overall ability and record.
For example...the combined winning percentage of the 12 teams that team A beat are .400 (for example) in your math system, they would have 480 points right???
The 10-0 team beat teams that are a combined .425 (had a much better record obviously and beat better teams)...in your dumb ass system, they have 425 points...

| OK YOUR NOT A SPORTS FAN AS YOU JUST TOLD ME A WINNING PERCENTAGE OF .425... IS A WAY BETTER PERCENTAGE THAN .400... IM ALL SET HERE..HAHAHAHAHHAA
WITH THIS "DUMB SYSTEM" ITS BASED ON .425 AND .400 BEING CLOSE NUMBERS..HAHAHAHAHAHA
WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TOO?..A 2.5% DIFERENCE IN STRENGHTH OF VICTORY HAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHA
SO I GUESS THE 10-0 TEAM PLAYED WAYYYYYYY WAYYYYY WAYYYYY HARDER TEAMS LMAO
IM GOING TO CREATE A SPORTS UNIVERSITY

I said the Winning Percentage....1.000 compared to .375 was a huge difference...

| WELL ITS NOT "STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE" ITS "STRENGTH OF VICTORY"... TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS....
STRENGTH OF VICTORY= WINNING PERCENTAGE OF THE TEAMS YOU BEAT (NOT THE TEAMS YOU PLAYED)
SO A-D-D BOY HERES AN EXAMPLE
...BOISE STATE 10-0
SOV= .100
BOISE STATE GETS 10 POINTS
...ALABAMA 8-2
SOV= .800
ALABAMA GETS 64 POINTS
ITS BASED ON THE TEAM YOU BEAT NOT THE TEAMS YOU PLAYED A-D-D BOY HAHAHAHAHAAAA

| I completely understand the Boise State/ Alabama reference....however that is not what i'm talking about...that does not apply to your league, as the SOV possibilities are pretty consistent across the board, because the majority of teams play the exact same teams....
So for example..The Mass Havoc are 3-0, lets assume they go 10-0, which means they would have beaten pretty much every good team in the league, which would give them a SOV of about .540??
They would get 540 points right??
The Gamblers go 8-2, and beat the middle of the pack teams and the crappy teams and a couple good teams, so end up with a SOV of .490...
They would be at 392 after the spring..
The Havoc play in Springfield in the fall, so they don't come back to your league for the fall, the gamblers next season go 5-5, only beat crap teams, the combined SOV for them in the Fall is .300 (which is horrrrrrrible).
They will gain 150 points for the fall
Fall and Spring Stats combined rankings
Gamblers 13-7 542 points Havoc 10-0 540 points
This system is just nuts....the Havoc beat every good team they ever played...beat every team they played...the Gamblers beat 1 or 2 good teams and a bunch of bummy teams...but are ranked higher

| IM JUST GOING TO SAY YOUR RIGHT BECAUSE YOU MISSING WHOLE ENTIRE CONCEPTS...
AN ANALOGY I USED BEFORE... MY SMALL COUSIN CAN BEAT ME IN A GAME TO 2... BUT IN A GAME TO 15 HE HAS NO SHOT
YOU MISSING THE ENTIRE CONCEPT THAT THE HAVOC IN YOUR EXAMPLE HAVE PLAYED IN 10 LESS GAMES
YOUR MISSING THE ENTIRE CONCEPT THAT THE TEAMS EVOLVE AND CHANGE AND WHAT MAY HAVE BEEN A GOOD RECORD A PRIOR SEASON, MAY NOT BE A GOOD RECORD THE NEXT SEASON
BUT I GUESS WE SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY GIVE TEAMS POINTS WHO DONT PUT THEMSELVES ON THE LINE AS MUCH AS OTHER TEAMS
JUST FOR GIGGLES HAVOC COULD BE GOOD FOR SPRING SEASON A YEAR, VIKINGS MAY BE GOOD IN TOURNEYS, GUNZ MAYBE GOOD IN FALL...
YOU CANT PENALIZE TEAMS FOR PUTTING THEIR RECORDS ON THE LINE MORE THAN OTHER TEAMS...DO YOU GET IT NOW?
IF YOU PLAYED IN HALF AS MANY GAMES WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE REANKED HIGHER.
YOUVE PLAYED IN HALF AS MANY GAMES! AND IN MY SYSTEM YOUR STILL RANKED WHERE YOU SHOULD BE... IT JUST TOOK YOU LESS TIME, THAN LETS SAY THE GAMBLERS IN YOUR EXAMPLE
HAVOC DID IN 1 SEASON WHAT THE GAMBLERS DID IN 2 IN YOUR EXAMPLE... IT DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS SYSTEM..LOL

| IT TOOK 20 GAMES FOR GAMBLERS TO ATTAIN 540 POINTS
IT TOOK HAVOC 10 GAMES TO OBTAIN 540 POINTS
BOTH TEAMS HAVE BEEN AWARDED FOR WHAT THEY ACCOMPLISHED HANDSOMELY LOL..
ITS JUST LIKE NASCARS SPRINT SERIES, OR THE PGA TOUR, JUST TOOK THAT IDEA AND TRANSFERRED IT TO THE LEAGUE THATS ALL!
iF THEY CAN DO IT AND ITS OK, WHY CANT I DO IT AND ITS DUMB? LOL
I GUESS THE PGA TOUR AND THE SPRINT SERIES ARE ALSO RUNNING DUMB IDEAS... IF YOU DONT SHOW UP TO AN EVENT.... GUESS WHAT YOU GET NO POINTS!

| Cash if this started in fall 2010 we only have 1 loss to the (real) gators.. We went 9-1 in fall (champs) and we are 2-0 this spring. Either way rankings seem off. Exmaple: We have never lost to the vikings and they have 8 losses total. We beat the gators in chip and played all the same teams as they did.. Just saying!

| sean im sure some waterbury standings maybe off, but the website says you lost to the saints on october 5th heres the link
http://wfflcentral.bravehost.com/ScheduleResults08.html
also the ranking system gives less value to wins that come against teams with terrible records, and more value to tins against teams with good records
Not to bash your league in waterbury, but it hurt the points as most of those teams yuu beat up on had very very bad records.
but again i only used what the website told me. Should i change the score of that game?
also you can check all your wins and losses in both leagues right here on this site including the scores
