| A lot of factors are in this list.. Attendance, Stats, Value of the position, Career Stats, Importance to their team, dominance on the field etc etc...There was much time put into this list.
And there can olny be 50, someone has to be cut

| let me answer "the fan" above.
the lower list:
1)Spence- like i said horrible in the playoffs and that has to be taken into account at some point would put him 13-15
2)Calovito- hasnt gotten his team (not matter which one it is) over the top in a LONG time. 20-25
3)Dolch- flashes brilliance at times and at others you think he has lost his mind. has to get the vikings further in the playoffs and better in the regular season standings (esp. against the upper half of the league) 25-30
4)Calvin Harris- had one of the quietest season i have ever seen for his numbers. most would not think he is even top five on his own team. complete liability on defense. 38-45
5)Cotto-def top 5 in yelling and screaming but not top teir d linemen in the league. he is the 4th best on his own squad. maybe bottom of the list 43-45.
6)Gor- solid player. hasnt taken his team far in the playoffs ever. and mediocre reg. season stats.
35-42
7)Maddog-this was tough but he was a monster 2 years ago but hasnt ever reached that level since. maybe its the offenses not using him right. give him the ball as much as the whalers/gators did and he returns to form. 23-28
8)Gotay-was a monster one season and average since. good safety but average CB. he could prove me wrong with the db's the gunz have this season. so maybe i eat my words BUT now he is 28-34

1)Chief- not sure one bit how this man was 25 on the the list? sorry but take his career in to account here and just he im bored and letting young guys get some burn attitude.along with colon best d-linemen in the league. top 10-15 easy
2)Dawud- again 19? he is a monster on both sides of the ball. and was next to uncoverable this year he is top 5 easy maybe top 3 nuff said! i mean look at his resume. and been doing it middle of the road teams. if he put his ego first he would play with the knights and rule the stat sheet every year.
3)Cervizzi- when he is there the bulldogs are a different team on a different level he is the 3rd best qb in the league. kid can flat out play. maybe the strongest arm of any qb in the league. 10-15
4)Zo- i think is a victim of not playing on
a top team. if he played with the gunz, knights, steelers, bulldogs he would be top 15 no question. Even with that said he is a beast and is a top tier talent on any sunday. top 20
5)Bartunek- he is a victim of having to play numerous postions for his team. plays them all very well. he has beat top teams as a qb. and can catch almost anything. If just played WR his numbers would be in the top 10 career in all categories.24-28
6)7-"cmon on man" this guy puts numbers on both sides of the ball. he can play wideout and db and do them both great. not to mention he must know the game he leads arguably the best team in ct every year. kid is a legit FOOTBALL player all round. 20-28
7)pito-hahahahaha...22....hahahaha ok i really dont have to say a word here. top 15
8)Foye- please read above for pito exact same thoughts. these 2 guys are game changers and have been doing it a long time! top 20
9) Mike Harris- again like ZO put him a top team and he is top 20-25. absolute monster on the d-line. his presence helps his fellow dlinemen exceed. kinda of splitting hairs on him just wanted to show him some love because he deserves the attetion.
10) Effren Quiles- might not play that much in the fall but is pretty much a monster when he is there. dont know a db that can cover him straight up. def top 25 and if he played all year every week top 15.

yes his number are great in the regular season. but take his record against the top four teams in the league? Gunz, steelers, knights, Bulldogs its not good. you can throw for 400 yards in a game but if you make bad decisions and cant get it done in crunch time in my mind i have to rank him lower.
and yes playing the steelers 3 years in a row aint easy but you would think you could get one win in there

the lower list:

Higher:
1)Chief- he plays d end and attendance is an issue, also not putting up monster #'s as he once did
2)Dawud- is a good player but his #'s were off the charts becuase he was apart of the Josh Spence offense. Dawud will never get anywhere near those #'s WITHOUT JOSH SPENCE!
3)Cervizzi- tHE BULLDOGS HAVE PROVEN THATTHEY CAN SUB QBS IN AND OUT AND STILL Win a bunch of games. Not that valuable to that team. The knights also switched qbs and the team doesnt skip a beat
4)Zo- Agreed
5)Bartunek-agreed
6)7-maybe should be on the list, but "7" was the 3rd-4th best db on the knights and same with the wr's, he was the 3rd-4th best on his team
7)pito-cant stat heatlthy aka bob sanders.. Great but cant stay on the field so does it matter?
8)Foye-foye is just a goood db nothing special

| @ ESPN, thanks for recognizing real...@Mel, you are out of ur rabbid ass mind...now, I'm beginning to take this shit personal...your list of rating a DB must be skewed...there's a difference between a CB and DB...I personally think I'm a great CB and an ok DB...reason, I cannot play the slot corner position...and do ok at free..but not my natural position...how many of ur top whateva "DB" play a legit man defense with no help...half of the "DBs" you have in ur top 50, play a hell of a zone defense...FACTS!!!
But as I said, thank you!!!
FYI, the only receiver that beat me in a man to man defense last season, tried out for the NFL Combine...Kurt H. (Spence, I own you one, my G...lol)

| Okay so after listening to "espn insider" and "mel" I think most can agree that espn insider made more sense and has more credibility. I won't take from. The lower list cuz I don't wanna be negative, but just the first 3 on the higher list "espn insider" made so much sense but its all facts
Chief- this guy is such a beast that he does make the game look so easy and he does look bored out there. The gunz are a diff defense when chief is up front. Agreed he should be higher than 25
Dawud- espn insider said it best "just check his resume" so I checked, last yr in 2011 he made first team "all world" as a db mcffu, he was named defensive player of the yr in waterbury, then came to hartford and was nameed offensive player of the yr. Mvp canididate in both waterbury and hartford - and mel ranked him 19th lol
Cervizzi- let's just say the bulldogs are top 3 in the state when he is at Qb, and unlike spence, he has won the big games and he has taken his team deep into the playoffs. The only top team the he hasn't beat is the Knights but every game was a shoot out. He single handedly makes the bulldogs a scoring machine or should I say impossible to stop offensively. There's no way he ranked 20th
And the list goes on. Foye in the 40s lol, if he is truely ranked in the 40s than no db should be lower than 40, u can probably argue like 2.
Last thing, for 7 to not even be on that list its a joke the guy and play any position on the field (except line) and be affective. All around athlete
These r a few of the reasons why I feel like "espn insider" has more credibility and just makes more sense

| Correct no name , so i listed his very last performance with "Fall 2011" as well, as stated before its current perfrmance along with career results.
There are only maybe 12 teams in the league and half of them did better...Theres only about 12 total qbs lmao

| Wouldnt it make sense to base it on last season stats. I been looking at guys stats not their history. Football is stock up, stock down game. I would say consider some factors but on caeer stats should not be one of them.How would you expect to have players want to play at high levels when you have a guy who every knows say is better but stats say other wise.For example Calvito 12 tds is ranked so high? I seen some wit way better stats. Just saying quit being so bias

| Mike Colavito came in mid season to a terrible team and put up those great #'s on 4 or 5 games i believe... As i have stated before.. Stats, Career stats, importance to the team, dominance etc etc are all factors...

Dawud is every teamates worst nightmare. No one "really wants to play "with him". It takes guys like "Kash" to control him, or guys like "Chase" to let him think hes running the team lol.
Dawud had so many weapons around him on the spartans he was able to run free. Kert, Mad Dog, Josh Spence and eve J.Green had too much talent and spped for people to concentrate on onen guy.. Hence the record breaking.
Those #'s will never be replicated again unless dawud returns to Spence.
Please stop with the MCFFU comparisons and this "all world team" lol.. Where are the stats to shpw whats gping on in the games? We are basing this on actual reults not what a referee feels were the best players in the games. As the ref should have a hard time ooking for that as hes trying to mangage a game..
Very good player but defintily not a game changer like the elite of the elite players

| This is very entertaining, Mel u are going off stats, attendance, value to a team, correct...then what happened to me not missing a game for the steelers, raiders or thr vikings or the only game I miss for the knights was went they play the championship and could play because I play for a htfd team, which that season I had 9 for the vikings...but I guess playing for the steelers or the vikings does not constitute for career stats, right....value to a team, are u serious....but I have to respect ur opinion....so I will and I'm truly done on this topic...see everyone in 19 days!!!

2. appreciate the love and criticism. we as a YG core have decided to place attendance as a priority. Hopefully we all stand true to our word and maybe individuals stats increase with out team wins.
3, i agree bout Zo, the boy can play. get him on a team that can win those close games. hes always a factor in the games just cant do it by himself
4. only person that can guard EQ is ME, (no lol) fortunately he doesnt have to face that problem. but he should DEF be on there.

(arm strength) We beat up on some shaky teams without him...with him we can play with anybody. Oh yeah, did Calvin set the single game reception record last fall? Against the STEELERS...not some bum ass squad where dudes try and pad stats. YUP,he did.

| Mel Kiper. Dawud does not run the Warriors in any way, shape or form his opinions are heard but I make the decisions regarding the Warriors. He is a valuable part of MY team and he had a great season for us last spring and will be back with MY squad again this spring. Other than that keep it up I agree with most of your opinions other than that lol.

let me touch on some things here:
1) Randy moss um NO!!! he is more a hybrid TE GRONK comes to mind
2)Quiles you dont have to back your play. just have to actually show up then dudes will know. BUT cmon man dont sh^t on the league you have had poor showings at times. and i would guess that most guys play hungover every weekend.
3)i do not think Dawud is a team cancer i actually think he made spence a better QB. when you have a talent that can take it the distance every time he touches the rock, makes things really open up
4)Gonz i had to look at the stats and i understand your sticking up for your players but i think your mistaken. after looking back at stats i have to say Mel has a point (eventhough i said what your saying) but its seems mel is all over this one. you guys have like 30 wins without cervizzi against teams like steelers, GUNZ, oilers, vikings, etc. not all "shaky" teams and this fall whatever. sorry but you guys sucked no matter who was your qb. either way i do believe cervizzi is undervalued on this list but dont also over value him either.
5)i agree with mel on calvin you can throw a WR 5-10 yd comebacks 20 times in a game and break a record doesnt make you elite.
cant wait for the start of the SEASON lets see who on this list belongs and who isnt on this list that will prove they belong here

| i would agree that cash thinks this league has a lot more comp than it really does. but if you say top teams you have to put the bulldogs in there no matter what. strictly the knights are the only team they cant/havent beaten.
1)GUNZ (no team comes close to having the top to bottom talent and will be unreal to watch this spring) win the league without struggle
2)Knights (unreal abilities all over, just cant get over that steeler hump in playoffs)
3)Bulldogs (dont expect them to ever play the way they did last fall)only team i think can match athletically GUNZ ****if they have their team actually shows up****
4)steelers (if they dont play which we hear every year but always end up here)

| Reallly Cash ...Giants won the Super bowl with a 8-8 record....last year Green bay won last years a uperbowl as the last seed in the NFC ...the year before New orleans beats Colts.. with no disrespect i highly doubt the Cowboys/assasins/ Hitsquad/ or anyyyyyyyyy of out league or any sub par 500 team can win it all....lol NBA Dallas won last year as the low west seed. Now we those vets we just go a lot of them. Can't wait til the season begins.

I respect that cause we have the same mentality when we play in the National Circut..Some teams respect us and some dont cause we from CT. Also i dont play much during the season Because i Volunteer my time and coach the kids...wich is a priority of mines in life. I will be there in the spring

| @mel...i respect your opinion cuz everybody is entitled to their opinions, but lets be real...EVERY team needs a QB, u sayin we wnt be good without mike, remmber one thing though, football is not all about offense, is about defense too...and ill tell u what, if u ask me...i think we have one of the top defenses in the league...so ask yourself this, how would the YG's be without their QB, how would the Spartans be without their QB, matter fact, how would EVERY team in the league be witout their QB's? instead of pin-pointing out certain teams, how about u do all teams and lets see if evryone agrees...because u might be right, our offense might not be as good without mike but like i said, our defense will still be there

| Yeah sorry troy woth no disrespect to other leagues but as you can tell by our all time standings page... all of those other teams are basically around .500 or worse teams when they play here.. Trojans, Chargers, Gators, Warriors, red devils..etc etc
Those leagues may not be wack, but i mean its not a coincidence the teams you beat up on struggle here.
But those same teams you beat up on have incredible records in the other leagues. These are just facts. Before this winter i think the trojans were 1-3 at one point in the CFFL i believe not they are 8-5 with 4 wins in the last event.
Doesnt mean your not a good player but you have to play with the big boys for 10 str8 weeks
