Been busy week but I got to give the people what they want. Good luck to all team in week 3.

Eagles v Franchise: Two teams that will shock some people this year. Franchise is off to a surprising 2-0 start. Shutout the Gators week 1 and upset the Vikings week 2. Calovito has not done anything real special statistically but has found a way to win games. 213 yards 3 tds and only 1 int are his numbers so far. Calovito keeps his teams in games and rarely losses them on his accord. Eagles looked very impressive week 1 even though it was against a weak gang green team. Eagles adding the 2nd string team guys has done a world of a difference. They now have a qb and a few more athletes at receivers which they desperately needed. Gelsomino brothers can be problems for teams this year. As they dont look like much but can you make you pay with their athleticism. Brian Gelsomino threw for close to 200 yards and 3 touchdowns also running for 82 yards week 1. Marcus seems to be happy again and playing hard, running and catching out of the back field. 111 yards combined through rushing and receiving along with 3 tds. Carlito and Lawson will have to get to the Eagles qb if they want to win this one. They need to keep him in the pocket and not chase him. He likes to roll out and throw from outside pocket. Making him become a pocket passer will make things uncomfortable for him back there. Eagles have had a long lay off so this may hurt their cohesion but I like them in this one. I think the eagles additions have made them a very tough team and I dont think other teams are prepared for them yet. Eagles -6.

Bearcats v BRaiders: Beach Raiders have not impressed me so far with their only win against a very poor gang green team 12 to 7. Terry needs to limit his ints and just manage the game. Bearcats look miserable against the young gunz. The bearcats are trying to be a top team in this league but looked helpless against the young gunz. But the bearcats will do what they do best in this game...they will beat up on an inferior opponent. The Raiders do not have close to enough firepower to stay with this bearcats team. The raiders defense does not match up well against all the weapons spence has at his disposal. Bearcats -14.

Gators v Raiders: This game has little meaning and I couldnt care less about it. Gators look good on paper but just have not looked like a cohesive unit so far this season. Gators cant find a qb because both of their options are not very good. But I would just choose one and rally around him because switching back n forth never works. Their two qbs have combined for 170 yards 2 tds and 4 ints. Those numbers will not beat anyone in this league. But is it possible that Im even less impressed with the Raiders? They have lost some of their guys to other teams and just dont look like they have enough weapons to contend. I expect the Gators to get off their losing streak and beat the raiders in a close ugly football game. gators -2.

Young gunz v Vikings: Always an intriguing matchup as these two teams have had numerous battles over the years. Dolch threw for close to 300 yards against the franchise but in a loss. Dolch has 5 ints in two games. He needs to limit these so they do not lose anymore games like last week. The vikings are another team like the bearcats that want to be considered a top contending team in this league but you cant lose to teams that you should beat like the Franchise. Gunz looked stacked the first two weeks of the season. They are mostly two platooning. Fresh bodies on teh field at all times. Their secondary is very talented and with the relentless dline pressure the gunz put on opposing qbs they are poised for another championship run. Roberts is putting up MVP numbers again with 562 yards 7 tds and only 1 int. This wont be close unless juniro can cause severe havoc on the roberts and force him to make bad decisions. However, I think dolch will be throwing off his back foot most of the game and this could get ugly. Gunz -14.

Oilers v Eagles: Oilers are a mess as usual and almost received the death penalty from commish blunt. Zo is their only bright spot but teams will focus on him now and force their qb to go somewhere else. Eagles are an up and coming team. I expect them even though they have a double header and long lay off to go 2-0 this week. Oilers are just a disaster right now and I dont expect them to find it this week. Eagles -7

Havoc v Knights: Who would have thought these two teams would be a combined 1-4 after the first two weeks of the season. Havoc was blown out week 1 against the bearcats and looked a little better against the oilers week 2 but still they were a top team last spring and beating the oilers 18 to 12 is just not what I expect from them. Woodard has thrown 6 ints to his only 3 tds. Woodward is a conventional pocket passer but he stands an extra 2 to 3 yards back behind center. Knights will need to get pressure on him and force him into some bad decisions. Now the knights have had a rough go of it. Getting the the gunz week 1 and losing in double overtime does not help the psyche of the team as they looked very flat against the bulldogs. Bard has already thrown more ints then he did all of last season. He looks uncomfortable back there and a I think a combination of a very tough schedule, being rusty after a long layoff due to injury and the loss of josh withee has hurt him. But I think the Knights will bounce back. They are down to their core guys and I think they will rally around one another. i expect a good game between these two teams but the knights need a win desperately and I expect we see the knights of old this week. Knights -6.

Gang green v Assassins: Another game that does not intrigue me very much. Assassins have lost two very close games this year. They are a tough passionate team that will give alot of teams fits this year but I just question their firepower. I dont think they have enough weapons to get over the hump. Their big off season aquisition of troy brown has not come to equal w's. Troy has thrown for close to 400 yards but only 2 tds. Gang green is the newbie to the league and will have to endure their lumps this season but they have alot of players and seem to be a hungry football team. I think they will hang with the Assassins for most of the game but I expect the Assassins to get their first win of the spring season. Assassins -6.

Hit Squad v Cowboys (Game of the Week): Hit squad looks impressive to start off the year even though they started off with possibly the easiest schedule in the league. They beat up on the raiders and gators in their first two games. Rocket is trying a new style with a under center approach and power football. I will like to see this against one of the top teams but rocket is a special player and can pretty much do it all. My question is how does rocket play in both leagues this week? Waterbury game at 130 and a 240 game in hartford. It could be done but hartfords game have been starting on time so this could be an issue for the hit squad. Cowboys lost to a very good bulldogs team week 1 and topped the assassins week 2. Gor has been game managing pretty well throwing for 349 yards and 4 tds. But I just dont see the cowboys being able to protect him from the hit squads dline. Hit squad has a bunch of good talent (experienced and young combination). I expect rocket to show because I think the steelers can win in waterbury against pretty much every team except a few without rocket. Hit squad moves to 3-0. HS -12
