| Is your son going to play college baseball? Hopefully, but the competition is tough. The better question is will he get an athletic scholarship? Odds are very low. Did you know that D1 schools have 11.7 scholarships for 27 players. D2's have 9 for unlimited players. D3's have zero. Most schools don't fund those programs fully, so the actual numbers are less.
You're much better off with academic money. Many baseball players do very well in school compared to their other sport peers. Point is that instead of spending $4-$8K+ for one summer season, you could be saving that money for college tuition and living expenses.
We offer an alternative. Our 16U Warhawks have been playing since 11U. We have amassed our share of hardware during that time, but more important is that all of our 14U boys made their freshman teams at 4 different high schools. We need a few more players for the 2019 summer who are serious about playing at the next level. Our fee per player is LESS THAN $1500 plus in-state travel. This gives your son 2 team showcase weekends, 3 local tournaments, uniforms, and 2 practices per week on a well kept HS field. We will play from May to end of July. Outside of showcases, camps are another great way to get noticed. We will have some weekends off to attend camps or individual showcases if you want. If you are interested. email Mark at drkupec@gmail.com or text 512-965-6725 about a tryout.
