| What the hell is the point of starting the season in mid may when these damn teams keep saying they can't play. The reason: they don't have their better players back from college yet. They give some crap excuses or non at all but that is the reason. Thats why we have to cram 27 regular season games into 7 weeks because no one wants to play before june 1st. Tell you what, thats the price you pay for having college players. suck it up. you have the advantage of guys that are younger and have been playing all season and jump into the summer league at full speed while other teams need the time to get in baseball shape...

| this has been one of my major complaints about the league for years now. we always had 5 or 6 games in while a couple of teams hadn't played yet. it is only about 2 or 3 teams who do this...but it's the same 2 or 3 teams every year. fill out the fucking 25 man roster and play. stop bitching that a 27 game schedule is too many games to play and play a couple of games before June 1st, and you won't have to squeeze 6 games in the last week of the season!

| Edward, Troy, You are both right, there is nothing you can do about it now.. but next year and for the future. Start the season on a certain date and if the teams weren't smart enough to get players who were not in college or high school or don't want to play without them then they forfeit.. simple. and have the teams that want to play in early or mid may play and let the 2 or 3 that ed pointed out play 27 games in 35 days. and accept forfeits for the ones they refuse to play.. Or just make them play there, are 25 man rosters. If you best 3 or 4 players are in college well tough shit.. I went on a few of the other league web sites of the leagues i see ranked by the nspba, even the rockland county league and they all have 6 games played already and we don't start now till may 19th, bullshit.

| butch, party again this weekend, my house, wear old clothes. I'm getting 2 half kegs and a block of ice for slolum shots, then we're gonna finish my basement and lay some pavers around the pool. should be fun, all welcome.. by the way the vertebrae at the base of my neck is bruised to hell from walking that behemoth swingset over. Farber was the one who came up with the idea on Saturday. I thought it would be too big.

You know why this league will never be as good as other leagues in America?
It's not our representative at the end of the year, it's the practices & proceedures of this league.
Look at the amount of games that other areas of America have played by June 1st.
MOST of the REALLY GOOD teams will have played 15 games by June 1st.
Do they have college players on their teams?
I would believe so.
I hate to say this, but nothing will ever be done to fix it.
It will be the same teams, proceedures, tournament, tournament site etc.
This league is like what makes it's way to the bottom...if you know what I mean.
Trust me on this, the old Met League did a lot of things better, but their reluctance to waver from outdated league policy is why they ended up defunct.
What is the future of amature baseball in NJ.
God I hope not the likes of the musial league.
PLAY THE FUCKING GAMES, I DID WHEN I HAD COLLEGE PLAYERS, AND AT THAT TIME WILLIAM PATERSON WAS WINNING AND PLAYING UNTIL THE THIRD WEEK OF MAY.
I have a great idea, let's play 16 games in 18 days in July!
Who's in???

| First Azz, If you want we could throw bp to each other then we can run some wind sprints. Or better yet we can get some wings and beer and talk about running sprints. Matty my man, Me thinks you is on to something. See you soon buddy. you in for the sprint "conversation". Farber, I knew you'd come through and speak the truth if I started the topic. Call me tonite. | Rick, Always ready to talk about sprints. It is very important to stretch first. Jimy G's is a very good place to loosen up.
