| How do coaches select their players? My son was cut on Friday from his high school team. He is a very good player, a 10th grader, plays club, good grades and great attitude. It is disappointing that he was not selected. Do coaches have favorites? Please don't mention your coach or team, just want to understand the coaches' mentality.

| Well I made it, but it was not because the coach knew me. Many good players were cut in my school and you can question some, but overall all of us can play. btw....I did not think I would make it since I am in 9th grade. Tell your son to keep on playing club....hopefully he gets better and I cannot see why a coach would reject a very good player.
