With all this talk about the powerhouse programs like LO and FHH, I feel like the OAA blue has been all about forgotten about. There is some real talent hidden down in the Blue League. I hear that groves has a very solid running game returning. I also hear that Lasher's LB Tyler Roth is a force to be reckoned with, however can one LB carry the Knights to victory? The Maples should have a pretty solid defense this year. They return their full d-line and two out of three linebackers, including diamond in the rough Sterling Johnson. It should be a pretty interesting year for the OAA Blue.

Avondale is the team to beat in the blue. Seaholm could be a sleeper. They should be 4-0 when they meet in week 5. Groves has a very good rb. Their line is not real big. Berkley gave Harrison a game last year in the playoffs. They were a couple plays away from stealing that game. They beat a very good Farmington team. Berkley lost alot. Berkley would have held their own last year in the white.

Well it seems the OAA Blue will be very competitive this year just like the OAA White.

Seems Avondale the favorite in the Blue
and Harrison in the White. However they will have to earn it!

More insight on the Maples from an inside source.

Seaholm's defense is looking very crisp. Their defensive line is anchored by standout defensive tackle Jake Badalamenti, and division one prospect Neal Page at defensive end. The linebacking core looks like it is lacking depth, but returning linebacker Jack Apap has improved his coverage ability. Chris Barr also adds swagger and leadership in the secondary.

On the offensive side of the ball, look for returning quarterback John Glazier to make some noise in the Maple record books and provide tremendous leadership. Also watch out for Scott Anderson who made the switch from wr to te this season, his 6'5 frame should be a tremendous weapon in redzone situations. Should be interesting to see how they finish this year.

I really think the the OAA blue is going to shock some people. Any word on how the scrimmages went today?

Attended the Maple scrimmage on Thursday.

Seaholm played against division 4 powerhouse Melvindale and the Maples looked impressive. THe scrimmage consisted of two 20-minute halves with running clocks for each, so the scrimmage didnt last all that long.

Standouts included junior defensive lineman Mark Redmond, who was relentless with the pass-rush all day and had a key fumble recovery for a TD.

On the offensive side of the ball, senior running back Mike Nadolski- who is a fiery nitty-gritty back with something to prove this year- bowled his way through defenders with his 5'6 frame for 80 hard fought yards. Senior tight end/wide-reciever Scott Anderson made a miraculous one-handed snag for 35 yards. He is clearly the Maples #1 passing target going into the season.

Dear Nasty Baron,

I really dont think andover has much potential for this year. They havent had a winning season in six years. They also do not have any real offensive weapons. They will probably finish towards the bottom of the oaa again.

In the department of offensive weaponry, the Blue and White are what one might refer to as STACKED. But either way, Mr. OAA Supporter, we're gonna find out quite a bit Thursday night vs. Seaholm

Hey baron nasty, I'm not looking to provoke an arguement at all, I support OAA football, but I must admit oaasupport is right. Andover just doesn't have the numbers, size, speed, or talent to compete with Seaholm and most other teams in the Blue. Seaholm will win by several touchdowns. However, I would love to see the succeed, it would be great for those kids

They did play a solid 2nd half against Hazel Park. Andover is at home against the Maples as well.

Seaholm can defintely contend for a blue tittle. Impressive wins although these were the 2 easiest games on their schedule. Hopefully Andover rebounds and steals a game or 2 this year

Lahser is showing us that they can play. They went far in '02 '05 '08. Every three years they went far....can it happen in '11?

Avondale still wins the Blue. Lahser vs Hazel Park should be a real interesting matchup

I believe that Lahser will win. I know I feel biased right now but Lahser has the weapons to win the division. The "league championship" game should be Lahser vs. Avondale at Avondale.

Lahser will be the best defense that Avondale sees this year... until playoffs.
