| Covering the Highlanders here are my thoughts:
Credit the Highlanders for hanging in with the Clarkston Wolves and making a game of it. If Clarkston is the class of the OAA Red this year then Adams should have a good season. That being said the OAA White will be very competitive this year. The Highlanders must find some running backs...weak running game except for the QB. Adams forced to the air and did well in the game. Surprised at the good protection provided by an undersized line. Adams defense active... good pursuit but subject to breakdown perhaps due to size disadvantange. Clarkston recievers were wide open thru out the game ....not sure why seems DBs may have been over commiting to stopping the run. Adams starting QB was impressive running the ball ...back up QB could throw the ball. Hopefully Annese (QB) will keep healthy this season ...needs to protect himself and not take the big hits...called survival! Again developing a running game would take alot of pressure off. Adams QBs did have time to pass with some good recievers...very encouraging. Next up is Farmington .. another great / competitive game expected....Go Highlanders!!

| Some quick comments.....
R u kidding me???....Oxford thumps the Dragons caution to the rest of the OAA White this season.
Avondale jumps right out and announces they will be contending in the blue this year.
Royal Oak gets their first WIN...bet that feels great. Weight off their shoulders.
Farmington, southfield with impressive victories.
Troy has a tough loss to Romeo who is picked to do very well in the MAC Red this year!
Seaholm with an impressive victory also has eys on a Blue title this year!
Now what say u fellow OAAers...?????

| Didn't get to see any games this week but was wondering if anyone feels if the Rochester Falcons have any hope of defeating Lake Orion on their home turf?

| Yes. After watching Lake Orion against Oxford, the defensive interior line kept getting blown back off the ball.
If you can not stop the run you can not win.
I could not believe what I saw from a Lake Orion team. If they do not fix it, LO will be building for the future very soon.

| From what I saw Adams was stacking the box to stop the run and keying on #5 who did most of the damage last year. They left themselves wide open for the pass. the running game should be much better for clarkston this year when defenses realize the can't put 8-9 guys in the box.

| I certainly agree. I believe Adams will be exposed this weekend. They will face a better, more well rounded offense this week. Farmington did nothing but run a basic offense in week 1. Underrated Farmington has something to prove.
