OAA crossover games set
Week 7 of the high school football season has come and passed for the OAA, so that means teams in the OAA Red and White finally know who their opponents will be in Week 8 next week. The first place teams, Farmington Hills Harrison and Lake Orion, will meet on Friday at Lake Orion. Fresh off a 49-26 upset of Southfield, Oxford will play at Clarkston in a battle of 5-2 teams. After that, it'll be Southfield at Troy Athens, Farmington at Pontiac, Rochester Adams at Troy, Oak Park at West Bloomfield, Stoney Creek at Rochester and Southfield-Lathrup at Royal Oak.

Harrison (W) @ Lake Orion Orion harrison too much horse power will handle the dragons.
Oxford (W)@ Clarkston - logic tells me clarkston , hunch tells me Oxford...im going with hunch wildcats are on a roll.
Southfield (W) @ Athens jays have the talent and the speed to out point athens may be a close game.
Farmington (W)@ Pontiac falcons are young but r more battle tested they handle pontiac in another close 1.
Roch Adams(W) @ Troy Highlanders will pressure troy's d and can strike quicker and more often than the colts.
Oak Park (W) @ W Bloomfield Knights r better than their record should man handle the lakers.
Stoney @ Rochester (W) falcons will beat the weaker cougars!
S Lathrup (W) @ Royal Oak SNL will upstage the ravens!
Would not be suprised with a clarkston victory. Athens and Pontiac could spring the upset!

| First of all, my JV player can't wait to play on the blue turf on Thursday.
Second, I hope the stadium is packed like it is for the LO/Clarkston rivalry. I am really looking forward to seeing Preston Line and see what he is all about.
I am expecting a high scoring game with the last team with the ball winning. Good Luck.

| Easy Boon !! Calling it "blue turf" seems to rile up them Boise State folks !! I've taken to calling it the "House of Blue", hoping that the restaurant / bar of the VERY close name won't be offended !!

| Sorry Oxfordad....must learn proper Blue terminology I appreciate your corrective prodding. I was going to reference "smurf turf" but surely that would be in-appropriate >>>>> however I am picking those wildcats to beat those wolves...So can we be friends????

| I know you are new to this forum. I always remember it is just high school football. I don't live and die with it. But, I do want Clarkston to win. Then, I pick Lake Orion because we know lots of kids from that district.
Good Luck on Thursday (my JV son is #53, but has a broken leg) and Friday (my Varsity son is #80).
I am really looking forward to seeing the "Blue Field". Yes, I said it.

| I'll go against the majority and say the red hangs with the white in many of these games and wins more than expected.
Harrison @ Lake Orion
Possibly QB Charette's last home game and he's never lost at Dragon stadium (21-0).
winner......Dragons
Oxford @ Clarkston
Clarkston defense is so tough especially against the run. Prescott Line will probably get 150 yds but it will take 40 carries.
winner......Clarkston
Southfield @ Athens
Surprised how bad Southfield looked against Oxford last week, but Athens is no Oxford.
winner......Southfield
Farmington @ Pontiac
Farmington is one of the few teams I have not seen play this year, so this one will be sort of a guess, I like Pontiac's playmakers, but...
winner......Farmington
Roch Adams @ Troy
I dont think Troy will have an answer for QB Annesse, but Troy scores late for the semi upset
winner.......Troy
Oak Park @ W Bloomfield
West Bloomfield looks absolutely great (In pre-game warmups). Alot of talent but haven't been able to put it together. Oak Park is dangerous.
winner.....Oak Park
Stoney @ Rochester
Dissapointing season for both programs
winner.....Rochester
S Lathrup @ Royal Oak
Time to move Royal Oak down a division or two ?
winner......Lathrup
Alright after that I still come up with Red 4 White 4.......
Should be interesting.

| Clarkston's defense in very strong this year but I believe their offense is just as good. They are very multi-dimensional with many different looks. Very good QB and RB along with a strong group of receivers. They can score in many different ways and I think this will be the difference in the game. (As well as holding Line to a reasonable number of yards) Nobody has been able to shut down their offense very well this year. Just a different take on the game. CAN'T WAIT!

| Great arguments Jake, but LO is not in the same class as FHH. Charette has had a great career, no doubt, but he will have no time to throw the ball. The speed on Harrison is unmanageable.
I do believe the Clarkston and Oxford game will be great, but I assure you that if Line has 40 carries he will have a lot more yards than 150.
Southfield will bounce back in a big way. They did not appreciate the embarrassment that Oxford gave them.
Under rated Oak Park will have an easy test.
Pontiac and Farmington have similar play makers. I believe coaching will be the difference. Farmington wins.
Stoney Creek gets embarrassed ny cross town rival
Adams and Annese run all over for the win.

| OK, so people are picking Oxford over Clarkston, because of record, or one player? Of the two games they had to forfeit, were they close in score? How good is the Oxford defense, I haven't kept up, do they allow many points?
Clarkston is supposed to have two of the best LB's in the state.
Lake Orion, has zero chance to will, it is unfortunate that Clarkston could not play Harrison. LO doesn't have the speed this year to keep up on defense and Pontiac I think will stune a lot of people Friday night.

| The 2 Clarkston forfeits were a win against Adams 28-21 where Clarkston was leading 28-7 with 7 min left in the game and a 34-6 win against W. Bloomfield. They really haven't been involved in any close games all year. This game should tell alot about how good they really are.

| It's a shame that it turned out this way. Clarkston very well could have been the biggest test of the entire season or post season for FHH. I would have liked to see that game.

| I think the first 7 weeks are fairly accurate in telling how good Clarkston is. They are really good. This one game isnt going to tell much that isn't already known. In my opinion this is the best matchup for the crossovers. Should be a classic smashmouth game.
