Really?? Really?!? I'm curious if the same person/group votes on the POTW each week? If so - perhaps they should look beyond Prescott Line at Oxford and distribute it around a bit. Not to take anything away from Line - he's a well deserving player who is having a phenomenal year, and he certainly deserves credit for the hard work and results he's produced, however I'm hard pressed to believe there aren't other worthy recipients from week to week. Most teams have more than 1 player that they count on from week to week, or at the very least distribute the workload amongst more than just 1 player. Again - this isn't a knock on Line but rather looking for others to receive some kudo's once in a while. While others may not have produced the "over the top" stats that Line gets each week, it certainly doesn't mean their production and stats weren't of equal or greater value to their team.

Well i say if its called the oaa player of the week then it goes to the player who had the best performance for that week....line deserves it this week, as he has deserved it the other weeks he has been named oaa player of the week.....i mean all we heard about all week was clarkston is really 7 and 0 and we have the defense to stop line, 302 yards and 4 td's does not sound like clarkstons defense was up to the job, and LINE deserves to be the oaa player of the week....

As an Oxford fan, I would expect that response from you - but it doesn't change the fact that others were just as deserving. As I mentioned earlier, I can't find another team in the White (or perhaps across the OAA) who relies on 1 player to live or die each week. We all KNOW Line will get his gawdy stats each week because he IS the Oxord team - that's a given. Also, as mentioned earlier, I'm not taking a shot at him - he's doing great and I'm sure Coach Rawley has a picture of him on his fridge or night stand (a little humor here...relax) - but believe there are others worthy of consideration.

Vince, take solace in knowing that your boy Collins was a distant 2nd... let's see here ~

Line 32 carries 303 yards 5 TDs and an additional TD on defense to go with his 12 hits, 2 sacks and pick 6.

Collins 23 carries 218 yards 2 TDs and an additional TD receiving.

In previous weeks, nobody in the White even compares to his numbers.

I donno know but it's a no brainer for me.

You see, as an oxford fan, for oh 30 or more years now I know how this teams works," TEAM EFFORT " and by the way do you think Line does this all on his own, last i checked there was a QB and a offense of line there too....if it were not for Hunsucker ,Getz and there other buddies do u really think Line would get 250 to 300 yards and 5 tds a game.. it is a team effort and team is taught by coach......yes Line is good but if not for his LINE he would not be the oaa player of the week over and over...as for the picture comment, cheep shot it was, u have no idea how oxfords football team is coached, picture on his fridge or not....all i do know is were 6 and 2 and playoff bound.....

Scouts - nice to see Lorenzo was considered, as he has certainly produced for us the latter part of the season. However, as much as I would like to have seen him receive the nod this week, believe it or not I didn't bring up the subject to tout FHH or a specific player, but rather looking to see if others might be considered.

Clearly I got Oxford all worked up and wasn't my intent - however, on the subject of "team" and you mention the QB, receiver and others, I looked through a few stats for your last game and it shows NO stats for the QB (does this mean no passes/completions) and on defense it shows Line with 12 tackles and 2 other players with 1 tackle each. I'm sure it doesn't encompass the entire game but compare it to FHH (since you took the shot at me - "oh, I should have know he was a Harrison fan" or something to that affect) we had QB stats (2 td passes) - 4 recvrs with receptions, 4 players with rushing yards and 5-6 players with defensive stats (2 picks by 2 players, multiple tackles, etc) - representing a "team" win.
I'm WAY off topic going down this road and was never my intent. Oxford Fan has every right to be proud of his team and of Line's effort and production. Congrats on making it to the post season. I was clearly in the minority in my view of this topic and I'm good with that - said my peace and I'm fine.
