| What happened to groves they look so much different. They got blown out 2 games in a row. What is it thats causing this? How do you think they will finish the season.

| Not sure what you mean by "what happened" to them. I don't think anything happened to them. Simply put, they aren't very talented. Hopefully they can turn things around.

| I hope they can turn it around too. I went to the game on Thursday and they looked great in the 1st quarter. However, when Avondale went to the spread they couldn't match Avaondale's speed. The TD with 43 seconds left in the half I think it killed them.
If they looked flat for most of the second half.
Not like it's going to get much easier this week as Lahser and the Emery/McCourt/Tornow offensive show is coming to 13 mile and Evergreen.

| Groves just isn't as deep or fast as they were last year. That big number 3 is a beast though. Still, a well-coached team that plays with a lot of heart.

| Hate to be disrespectful but just being brutally honest Groves' Coach Flaherty is not a good coach. X's and O's wise he is really really lacking the offense consistently underproduces, the defense runs a weird formation with some type of hybrid safety/linebacker type of guy who is always out of position and can't tackle. Why not run a 4-3 or something that works. Also, I have heard a Birmingham district-wide sentiment that many kids do not want to play for Coach Flaherty. I know this seems really harsh but I do believe he is Not the right man for the job there. That being said lets not take away from the kids. They are playing hard and should certainly be able to pick up some wins as this season progresses

| The defense they did run was the 3-5-3. Which if it is run correctly can cause alot of stress on the offense. Two of the D coaches didnt return from last year and the coach that is left is fighting other coaches that dont believe in that system. Its a great defense that has produced a ton of turn overs both last year and at berkley when it was run there. From what i have seen the offense has trouble scoring and is too advanced for highschool play. You cant keep your defense on the field for 30+ minutes of a 48 min game and expect to win. They have switched to a 4-4, good luck with that.

| I feel bad for groves they have alot of support and kids in their program. I dont see them beating seaholm this year. What a big turn around, division champs to 1-8. Hope they have a good off season and can come back stronger next year.

| Groves has a shot at making the playoffs. They have speed but no size. All their games are winnable. The OAA Blue is not that strong. I hope they have a great year.
