| Sorry for the kids that are impacted by the decision to cancel football this season. Very poor example for the boys. Pathetic actually. So was Lahser running up the score when they played them. Must be the water or too much money or ego over there in Bloomfield.

| Eleven MEN showed up for practice. They had heart. The kids that bailed to play soccer and join the chess club, the coaches that bailed, the students, the administration, the parents that were too apathetic. That's how you were left with eleven MEN.

| They should have done this before the season. The 2 high schools combining can't come soon enough

| I don't think there was much choice for Andover, having only 11 kids show up for practice? What else were they to do?
On a side note, combining the schools for football before this year started (just as they did for all other sports) would have been worlds better for the kids, the community and everyone involved. Sorry to hear about this, however there wasn't much to do

| From what I read, they had 35 committed at the end of last school year and 28 in August. I would think all in charge expressed dedication to their decisions to play from last year on ... injuries are one thing, bailing is another. Feel for the 11 left standing........
On a side note...., this now gives Seaholm 2 weeks to get ready for Avondale, then Avondale 2 weeks to get ready for Lahser.... thinking they will both take the forfeit and not reschedule.

| I personally know one of the coaches. He said they had an average of 7 kids a day show up for practice, yes there were 11 on Monday, because they were told that if there wernt 15 at practice that the season would be cancelled. They also had 9 injuries.
