| Taking a look at all the teams Clarkston has played, we have noticed that numbers seem down on all the teams. I think the economy and the cost to pay to play is taking a huge affect on some of these football programs.
To play football in Clarkston is $500 after pay to play and the trip to Saginaw Valley for conditioning and team building. I think there needs to be a pay to play law that eliminates this fee so all can participate. We all pay way to much in property taxes.
When we were kids, we didn't have to pay and there is no reason why the kids should have to pay now. Any thoughts?

| Football cost money. Someone has to play. If not the student or his family, who? If the choice is to reduce class sizes by hiring another teacher or go without a extracurricular activity such as football, what do you think the average taxpayer is going to do?
I'm not saying there is not waste or money spent on other things that are of even less importance.
P.S. I bet when you went to school the district didn't pay for police/security protection either.
