Well it's the end of another football season and yet the end of another sectional game but in the 2nd round this time...anyway too look back on the season the season started out much like I expected the first game a mixture of running and passing against a solid Salem team...but it kinda wasn't what I was expecting either I thought since warner was moving over to a Fullback/Wide Reciever role this year that you could utilize him the way that Arkansas does with Darren McFadden jn a Wildkat/WildHog formation or what Florida does in some of their offenses and that is use Warner to confuse the defense...if you think about it what if one play all of a sudden you see Warner under center from the shotgun and the ball is directly snapped to Laswell who is the runningback in the formation standing beside Warner...and advantage is that Laswell gets the direct snap he can either throw a pass downfied or run the ball because you know a high school football player on defense will bite on the run and you can throw a pass over them for a huge gain...and I don't think that's what they understood is that creativety creates something...another thin I would have done is run a option out of the shit gun have Ethan White motion as a lead blocker and as soon as a player commits throw a little shuffle pass too him when he's in front of you could be a big gain that way...I also still don't know why they didn't use a Jet Sweep or fake Jet sweep with a swing pass or anything like that...because The Rams would run a toss sweep from under center in a variation of Wing-T so if from Shotgun they run a Jet Sweep and have the option to pass it or run it hey it might have worked and not only that there was no misdirection in the Wing-T or Wishbone or any other option oriented attacks there was the fake option keeper but there wasn't the misdirection inside counter handoff or anything like that it reminds me of a quote Barry Switzer said not too long ago about running the wishbone at Oklahoma and he said "Why we run it is becuase we get the ball the defense goes that way we pitch the ball that way the ref sticks his arms up that way all night long" that's the offensive coordinators job to strategize the offense a little...anyway that's just me ranting on some things...The Rams really didn't get the ball rolling until North Harrison and they escaoed with tha win and proceeded to win 5 in a row but throughout the wins too me you never seen that dominating defense that the real good-great or even sectional winning teams have where if they are going to blow you out you won't get and inch much less a millimeter of yardage...The Rams also had some solid wins against a Clarksville team and a played real well against Perry and Brownstown...passing game wasn't bad all year Goodman had nearly 30 receptions and the other recievers had solid recieving numbers...the good thing if you are a rams fan is the fact that a lot of Sophomores played...and you will get the majority of the starting players back...will return both offensive and defensive lines...starting QB...2 starting runningbacks....so the future looks nice...anyway the football season is over and now ot puts pressure on the Basketball team to do well...and it's nopw onto basketball season and that should be a trip....anyway i'm out

shizz, last night's game was a good one. i have to admit my heart sank when paoli scored that first touchdown. so naturally as a brave fan, i felt better when we got on the board.

your team came out fired up and you could tell that they wanted the win. i am so impressed with how much paoli football has improved in the last few years. it is obvious to everyone that paoli in now a force to be reckoned with. the momentum is building.

your fans were incredible. in most cases, fans stop cheering when the team is behind but yours didn't. they cheered (loud) the whole game. your fans never gave up on the team and the team never gave up on the game. they played hard all the way. i wish your fans could come and help us cheer our team this friday. you sure was loud!

paoli players hold your head high you have accomplished a lot this year! i'm sure that the best is yet to come. you have skill, you played with heart and you had a great season. like i have said before: YOU GUYS ARE A CLASS ACT! keep up the good work.

shizz, keep everyone fired up down that way. remember to stop by the brownstown website and visit from time to time. see ya in the sectional next year!

your brownstown friend,
bravebacker
