What a perfect night for football and such a rewarding experience to be a spectator in such a big rivalry. The crowds were big and the emotions were high. Make no mistake about it, the Hawks were pumped and brought their A game. They were not the least bit intimidated by the fifth ranked Rams.

The Rams came out and punched the Hawks in the nose right away, but no matter how many times the Rams hit them, they just wouldn't knock out.

Now, whether that is a credit to the Hawks or something to worry about on our part is yet to be seen. Eigther way, it is good to be a Ram fan and from the way it looks, it is going to be a good run of years of such. The underclassman are big and fast. The freshman class have yet to lose a football game in three years, so coach B's system is in place.

Back to the game with a few notes: I really missed seeing Kameda on offense. I'm not sure if he was sick or hurt, but I am a Channing Kameda fan, and I would have liked to have seen a few plays with him involved.

It looked like we were content to grind it out with three/four yards and a cloud of dust. It worked and 28-0 is a score we will take any day.

I see WW beat Pekin badly, and that Corydon barely lost to Brownstown. Perry Central put a whooping on Crawford, so those three teams are looming in the horizon, and I'm sure we will be ready. In the meantime, get ready for another grinding game on both sides of the line, as we travel to Ramsey to take on North Harrison. Look for a hard fought game on both sides, and I can only hope for similar weather, and similar results.

Nice victory for The Rams not a blowout but a nice win...looked like Valley slowed down the outside corners and it gave The Rams some problems on offense...I think as an offense playcalling wise there has to be more passing playscalled or to at least go downfield more...or come tournament time it will be a downfall...
